“BEST SEAFOOD CHOWDER/LOBSTER SANDWICH ON PEI”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

Well worth the drive to Naufrage Harbour, on the North Coast drive to Souris, this restaurant does not disappoint.
Locally sourced seafood are the prime ingredients.
Magnificant chowder and plump, full lobster sandwiches have an incredible homemade feel as if your Granny was back in the kitchen attending to every detail.
Fishcakes are generous in size and are served with baked beans and green tomato chow- a classic!
Don't miss this spot when visiting Prince Edward Island.
The area has wonderful vistas of long beaches and the quiet charm of Naufrage Harbour and the fishing fleet.

“Terrific and simple seafood restaurant in the heart of a fishing port”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

We loved our experience here. The scallops had come in a hour before and were cooked perfectly, the staff was friendly and down to earth, the setting rural and beautiful, and the pie was amazing. There are not many restaurants in this part of the island, and this one is worth the visit.

“Lured by a lighthouse, we found this treasure”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

We happened upon this cafe on a trip from Charlottetown to Souris. The address says 'Souris' but it is actually found a half hour outside of Souris, on the north coast, on the sleepy Naufrage Harbour. We detoured off Hwy 16 because of the lure of a lighthouse, and were then tempted into this cafe. What a find!

It had a nice comfortable local feel, and you can tell a lot of love has gone into designing - and maintaining - this lovely restaurant. Service was friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing! My husband and I shared a 3-piece fish and chips (a bargain, and plenty big enough to share). The fish was crumb battered to perfection and was melt-in-your-mouth. I would guess it comes fresh from the fishermen's huts you can see out the window. Don't miss the homemade strawberry rhubarb cheesecake!

We may have happened upon this by accident, but we will be returning with intention!

“Has declined since opening”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

Used to be a decent place to eat at Naufrage Harbour however it seems that the tourists are much more important to them now than the locals. The wait staff doted on them all evening while we felt like second class guests and were served raw fish... never returned since.
