Stayed here in the summer of 2008. Room was quite comfortable and visited the Lighthouse, which is where I'll definitely stay next time. Room was clean and the staff really knew the island and its history. Beautiful setting.

Stayed here because we got off the late ferry from Isles de Madeleine and had to be on the early morning ferry from Wood Islands to the NS mainland. The first thing we noticed was the decor - straight out of "That 70s Show". Woke up at 5:30 am to find the cold water tap handle in the shower was completely stripped ... therefore no cold water. Attempted to call the office to rectify the problem, but it was closed. Had to use the sink in the main room to get clean. Handles don't strip overnight, this is something that should have been apparent with periodic inspections when the room is cleaned. We won't be back.

The place looks cute when you drive up, but that is where that ends. The room where the front desk is, looks like it has not been touched since the 1960's or 70's. The rooms we not nice, the bathroom is so small when you sit down to pee your knees touch the wall. There was no alarm clock , or TV in any room we rented. If you wanted to watch TV you had to go to the front desk area and watch what the family that runs the place is watching. I was lucky to not have spiders in my room, but the other two couples we were with were not as lucky. Take a broom and get rid of some of the spider webs on the deck of the hotel. We tried to sit outside and have some drinks, but we were scared the spiders would eat us. They were huge and everywhere. We made the best of it, but I would have to say I will not stay there again on my travels to PEI.

These rooms are badly in need of remodelling and a good cleaning with bleach followed by a paint job.If you are over 200 lbs.,you will have a problem using the facilities in some of the washrooms.Beware the water temperatures in the shower! These rooms should be no more than $40.00 per night but the price is $80.00! The natural beauty and peacefulness of the area are the only good feature.
