The finer details. The tables and chairs are heavy wood, like from a real country kitchen. The flatware is Paderno brand (a PEI made high quality brand). Other than all the tables around us, I actually felt like I was in a country kitchen.

The waitress was friendly and the food was good (toast was a little over done on my club sandwich but not burnt). The cheese on the club was actually cheese, not the processed junk like you usually get. I felt it was a good quality ingredients.

TIP: Get the appetizer potato twisters they are VERY good!

On the drive to Souris, we stopped into Rob Roy's. Their lunch special was a combination grilled cheese with beef and roasted pepper aoili and tomato soup. Ymmm. We went back three days in a row and the chef was kind enough to make the same combo for us, just because we loved it so much!
Their blueberry grunt was special. Hot, with a crunchy topping, and filled with the special blueberries sourced through Rob Roy's owners.
Worth a detour. :-)
and if you are dieting, they make a scallop salad. The scallops were plentiful, perfectly cooked and fresh!
What else can you ask for?

YUCK!
Out of the four dinner meals we ordered, they could not even give us one worth eating half of...
maybe better luck with the breakfast menu.
They were also slooooow to bring meal.

My wife, Son and Grandsons when here to eat for fathers day 2013 and had a nice meal. Everything was inviting from the staff to the presentation of the food. There was a good helping on the plate so not one of us went away hungry. My grandsons are teens and still growing so they have great appetites. The restaurant is very clean and the day core is light and airy. We look forward to returning at another time .

Huge new country style restaurant on route to Charlottetown and we had looked forward to it's opening. However when we dined there the place was empty and they were out of our first few choices. Food choices they did have were just okay.
