“Has "Annne-of-Green Gable´s" Charme!”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

We loved our 3 nights stay at Kindred Spirits Country Inn & Cottages, where we stayed in a nice room in the adjacent main building. We enjoyed the great ambiance and felt very relaxed. Rented bikes for the day for 15 CAN each.
Wonderful location, very close to Green Gable´s and Montgomery´s home. Nice garden and trees! Breakfast is delicious, every day a new little dish nicely decorated.
It was a little hard to find on our first drive there at night as the blue sign of the Inn is a little hidden behind another sign. Just take a left right after Green Gables when coming from North Rustico Side.
Only downside was that the jacuzzi tub did not work in our room.
Thanks, we would stay here again when ever coming back to beautiful PEI!

An absolutely lovely place to stay while in Prince Edward Island. Right beside the Anne of Green Gables house, if that's your thing, or else: there are a golf course and beaches nearby. The owners Dan and Becky and their dog, aptly named Gilbert, live right on the property and try to meet your every need, as does the rest of the staff. We stayed at the inn (yummy breakfast included), but there are cottages at the grounds as well. They have ramps to get into the buildings (and will even push you, if needed), and the accessible room - located in the Gatehouse - is spacious and has a raised toilet, a shower bench, etc. Not the cheapest place on the island, but definitely worth it!

We just came back from a family trip to PEI and really enjoyed our stay at Kindred Spirits. It was very close to both Green Gables and the beach. It has a laundry facility and a pool, which the kids just loved. It definately felt like a little piece of "Anne".

Brought my wife and mother-in-law to Cavendish for an "Anne Mecca." This cottage park is back off the main road and is all freshly painted and nicely furnished. It was more like moving into a new house than a rental. The hot tub seems to be services every day and everything was in working order and seemed pretty much new. The experience was like going to a cabin in a summer camp where the grounds crew kept everything storybook perfect. We really enjoyed staying here.
Breakfast was very good, too.
Oh yeah, the only negative that I had was that the WiFi was almost unusable from our cabin and I had to hunt down a strong enough signal.

Room Tip: There is a central recreational area, so if you have kids, you may want to be on that. If not, you...

This is a wonderfully quaint Victorian-style bed & breakfast that really sets the stage for your trip back in time to when Montgomery wrote "Anne of Green Gables." We were so impressed & relieved when we drove up as it was much nicer than it shows you online... My only suggestion is that the other staff members help out at the desk when it is busy...they kept disappearing behind a door and leaving the desk clerk, Sarah, (who was extremely nice and helpful) left to do the job of two people and long lines actually formed ;we had to wait for anything needed from the desk. Rooms are clean and functional and decoratated in a cute country -style.. Pool and laundry room were nice extras as well as the laptop set up for guests to use. I liked the breakfast, they had something a little different each day. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a trip to see all things "Anne"; however, we ended up not using all our tickets bought in the package, it gets to be a little redundant after a while. You will really enjoy this spot in beautiful P.E.I.!

Room Tip: Rooms in the Inn section include a nice gourmet-type bereakfast, however, if you have alot of people...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kindred Spirits. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was maintained clean everyday and replenished with coffee, fresh towels and clean cups/utensils. We had a mini fridge and microwave in our room. We found this to be very practical as we like to pack a picnic for our beach days, so we were able to shop in the local grocery store every 2-3 days.

The beaches nearby go for miles and miles! Our favorite 15 minute drive to Brackley Beach was a highlight every time - the scenery, small bays and quaint homes brought us so much delight. The Inn gave us a national park pass which was included with our room ($50/week savings to us). The pass gave us an opportunity to explore many of the beautiful parks around Cavendish and the north-east coast.

If time allows, we recommend the 1 1/2 hour drive to Basin Head where you will find Singing Sands - the sand squeaks when you gently rub/walk on it! The drive from Kindred Spirits is picturesque and rewarding when you arrive to find white sands, a warm ocean to swim in and a little bridge where you can see the tide come or go.Many people jump into the rolling water from this bridge or from either side of it and enjoy being carried into the tide only to climb the ladders and do it all again. Walking the beaches and collecting sea shells, colorful rocks and on occasion a starfish or mussel shell is part of this wonderful experience in PEI.

The breakfasts at Kindred Spirits were delicious and on the occasion I couldn't eat what was served, the cook scrambled some eggs on my request. There is always fresh fruit (2 selections mostly), a choice of cereal, nuts and granola, yogurt and a buffet with juices of every kind! The grounds are pristine and the little splashes of color here and there offer the most amazing lilies, impatients, geraniums and roses. The trees offer shade and privacy as well as add to the charm of the Inn. We stayed in the gate house, room G for 14 days and will be so sad to leave it.

We will come back!

We had a wonderful time at the Kindred Spirits Inn. My two daughters are Anne lovers, and we truly enjoyed being withing WALKING distance to Green Gables. Our room was very cute with lace curtains and blue floral wallpaper. The Inn had a nice breakfast room with a good selection of juices, cereals, coffee, etc. plus a new homemade main dish each morning. The grounds were pretty with beautiful flowers. The pool was kept at a nice warm temperature allowing us to swim each evening. We did have to drive to the beach, however, the Inn provided a free beach pass. We're already dreaming of returning. We hope to return again.
