Stayed here for a week to celebrate 100 years of Anne of Green Gables in Cavendish. There are quite a few different places to stay on this property (inn, motel, cottages). We stayed in cottage #46, probably a more recent addition (further back from the road, and clad in vinyl-siding as opposed to the cute log ones further up).
Our unit was a 2 bedroom, each room having a queen bed. I loved that there was a playground right in front of our cottage so the kids could play while I sat and watched from the deck. Beyond that was one of the pools/hot tubs. Very nice, but I don't think it was heated as the website claims (not a major concern, as it was +30ºC most of our time there).
The cottage itself was what one might expect if going to stay at a friend's old cottage: mish-mashed furnishings and an old TV (but the satellite was a nice feature). The bedrooms were a not bad size, small-ish bathroom, though. No stove in the kitchen, but a BBQ on the deck (and with the heat, we wouldn't have used a stove anyway). Kitchen had basic amenities, but the pots and pans seemed maybe a little worse for wear.
The cottage smelled quite musty, but we would leave the windows open and ceiling fan on and that helped, but I think the musty smell was right down into the carpets/bedding. The wireless internet was not available at all during our stay there, but that was a common problem throughout the area and not the fault of the establishment at all.
All in all, it's not the fanciest cottage you'll ever stay at, but with all the extra amenities and space, it's an excellent pick for families using it as a home base while enjoying PEI.
