My husband and I had dinner there last summer, and really enjoyed ourselves. When our friends told us they wanted to go for a lobster dinner this year, we knew just where to take them. The comfortable and welcoming atmosphere started with our phone call to make reservations, and continued through dinner. The friendly service made it feel as though we were at someone's house for dinner. Amazing dinner rolls and butter got us started, followed by all you can eat chowder. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the homemade dressings were excellent. Juicy and delicious steamed mussels were next, and the main event, a bright red lobster with melted butter, was nicely cracked and cut to make it easy to get into. There was a perfectly done baked PEI potato and a 1/2 cob of corn on the side, and we all agreed that we were glad we limited ourselves to one bowl of chowder, even though we could have had more! Dessert was a choice of fudge brownie with ice cream or blueberry shortcake. Three of us had the shortcake, and one had the brownie. Both were excellent.
Overall, we think it's the perfect island experience. We have other friends visiting this week, and I suspect we may be back!
