“Comfortable Place to Stay”

While visiting Prince Edward County, we booked a room with an on-suite. Alan was a great and warm host who provided information about the area, places to see, local dinner places, and recommendations. He also served us an excellent breakfast!

my daughter was getting married at foWL and we needed lots of rooms to accomodate guests and family. Alanna's is convenient to the area - clean, like home, and the breakfasts were amazing - blueberry waffles and then baked eggs benedict. Alan drove people to the venue. It really made us all feel welcome and felt like we were staying with friends. CHeers!

I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to experience a great place to stay, great hosts, and decadent breakfasts. This wonderful house has a nice vibe to it that made us feel comfortable instantly. There was even a full kitchen for guests to use and we took advantage of it to prepare a quick meal after a day of cycling, well, mostly wine tasting and some cycling. Vineyards and Sandbanks are closeby so you get the best of both worlds. Hosts Allan, Linda and Alana are very nice, gentle and fun folks and their aim to make our stay the best it could be came through in everything they did. We are looking forward to going back next summer. I would also recommend this B&B for cyclists - 80km and 100km routes with nice paved roads that were relatively quiet. There is a cycling shop a short distance from the B&B

Alana's Lakeside B&B was amazing! Alan and his family are such warm, kind, friendly hosts. Alan is probably one of the nicest people we have ever met! The breakfasts were amazing (eggs Benedict and blueberry waffles with ice cream); Alan even made several adjustments to the breakfasts to accommodate for allergies. The B&B is in a great location, with a 5 min walk to the Wellington beach and a park, and about a 10min walk to the some really great restaurants in Wellington. It is also about a 15min drive to Sandbanks beach. We stayed in the 2 bedroom (queen, double and single bed) suite with an ensuite bathroom; the room and bathroom were spacious, comfy and very clean. The air conditioning was great and we loved having the mini fridge and TV in the room.

We hope to be back next year and highly recommend this B&B! Big thanks again to Alan and his family for such a wonderful stay!

Our group of friends had a great weekend staying at Alanna’s B&B. The owners are warm and friendly and go out of their way to make sure their guests have everything they need. We enjoyed relaxing and chatting on the front verandah each night after dining at one of the excellent nearby restaurants. A full gourmet breakfast is served every morning and there’s a large kitchenette with supplies of tea and coffee and a full size fridge. The Lakeside Suite is spacious and spotless with a king bed, 2 comfy chairs and large private deck. The elegant en suite is big and bright with a glass-walled shower. The other 2 bedroom suite was perfect for 3 friends to share. Wellington is a pretty little town. It’s lovely to stroll along the lakefront, look into craft studios and admire the heritage homes and their beautiful gardens. We’re planning to go back next year.

Our family was attending a wedding just down the road from Wellington at Field's on West Lake. Alanna's was perfect as a home base for attending all the events from the rehearsal dinner to the morning-after brunch. Alan and his family were very welcoming, provided a delicious breakfast and comfortable rooms. They made us feel right at home. I am thinking of staying there again for a quick County get-away. Alanna's receives a much deserved recommendation from me.

Our group of 3 families stayed at this B&B which exceeded our expectations. The rooms are clean & comfortable. the kitchen is well-equipped for us to make our own lunch & dinner. Breakfast was generous and delicious; the hosts really put a lot of heart into making us feel welcomed and our stay enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend this B&B to anyone planning to visit Sandbanks Provincial Park, which is 20-minute away, or the Prince Edward County.
