This was our first stop of the day. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. My wife is a picky Chardonnay drinker, but she really enjoyed theirs. A bit too commercial for me, with only really the store as an attraction.

We have visited this winery 5 years in a row and never disappointed. The wines are great but the location is great too. Tastings are fun and lighthearted. And the wine is awesome.

Had a blast when I stopped in to the cellar door. It was end of day and the girls sounded like they were having an after work soiree.....made for great atmosphere for tasting! They let me take a zillion photos and spent a lot of time talking about their wines. Absolutely loved their new Sauvignon Blanc and will be coming back for more. Fun and flirty summer wines - exactly what I was looking for when I drove up to their door!

Don't get me wrong. Being commercial is not a problem per se. This winery has the advantage of providing wines that will please most palate. From their light, well made, affordable whites (Dunes, Sandbanks) that are very enjoyable as a summer patio wine to their more distinctive reds (Baco Noir) that show the ability of the winemaker. The wines were good, but I found little that really expressed the terroir of Prince Edward County - and many of their offerings are VQA Ontario, not Prince Edward County.
Unfortunately, I was less impressed with the staff that was serving the tastings. They were lacking in general knowledge and had problems explaining the wines - or to recommend a tasting order. It seemed more like a summer job than a real interest in the winery.

If you like the best of wines then this is the winery to visit. The Baco Noir is definitely a buy and the rest are just a delicious bonus. We really like the way the wines are named to coincide with the Sandbanks (which aren't very far away). Good place to visit.
