We stopped in Rossport while making the Lake Superior Circle Trip. We had a dog with us so there wasn't a lot of hotel/motels to choose from in the area. The outside of the guest house was different and does not do justice to the rooms. It looked like there were 4 rooms in each unit and 2 units. The room was spacious and well appointed. And, very clean. Yes, there were trains going through Rossport during the night but it was not a negative feature. To check in, you must go to the Serendipity cafe down the road. They will do the paper work and give you your key. They also will give you a "boxed" breakfast for the morning. Juice, muffins, yogurt...coffee is in the room. We also had dinner at the Serendipity Cafe, also a very pleasant surprise. If you go there, have the lake trout...usually caught that day locally. We would go out of our way to stop here again.
