“Great day trip to Port Carling”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

Turtle Jacks is a great resturant right on the water in Port Carling. The resturant has two sections. A large inside dining room and a patio outside. You have a choice at either. However you will need to check in at both if there is a waiting list. Each will give you a buzzer to call you when your table is ready. This is a great idea as you can go outside and shop in the small square of shops and the buzzer will work in that area. They have a huge selection of foods which are presented in white urban type dishes. All breads are from the Ace bakery...yum... All selections are very fresh.
Also great sangria. If you want a nice trip to the muskoka area and a good lunch or dinner, then try Turtle Jacks.

“Great Location”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

A fun location to go while out for a country drive. Very expensive for what you get. I had the baked french onion soup that was nice and hot but nothing special taste wise plus half a greek salad. Hubby had half a greek salad and chicken wings. He had one beer and I had soda water. Our bill was close to $60.

“Do yourself a favour - avoid!”
Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

Where to begin with the horrible...we've eaten here several times over the years, because it's accessible by boat which is a fun novelty and because there are few resto choices in Muskoka. Each visit has been worse than the last. Here are the highlights....

The waitress yelled at my mother in law and slammed her entree in front of her apparently because she didn't hear the waitress rudely call out her choice of entree ( they should know who ordered what).

My friends 13 year old daughter vomiting during dinner when she found something so gross I won't even mention it here in her salad. Her words " that was all kind of gross".

Slow and inconsistent service at best by poorly trained high school student staff in mini skirts and falling out of their tops ( this may be appealing to you but not me).

The quality of the food is just awful... I found unfresh ingredients, poorly cooked food, salad was dry ( they skimped on the dressing) and its rather expensive to boot.

Plus on the patio you will be eaten alive by bugs or roast from the heat in the restaurant.

You are best to avoid this hellhole. Head to Bass Lake Roadbouse or Ella's Place. So much better.
