This is a popular dining spot in the Muskokas. Most diners must have more money, patience and time than me. The service was very slow on Mother's Day. At times our server seemed to have forgotten we were there. It cost about $70.00 per head with a liter of very average house wine and nothing special from the menu.
Big groups be warned - 20% gratuity built in - for the less than average service!! Last time I dined here with a big group I did not scour the fine print to see the big group tip whack. I put my credit card down to pay and asked that the bill come back with the credit card statement. It did not - despite 2 further requests. Finally the server realized I realized there was an auto - tip and volunteered that it was (then) 18%!! Guess they were hoping for a 33% gratuity. . .
The food is quite good, but for these prices the entire dining experience needs to be much better than it was.
Two strikes and we are out of there for good.
