“A good time with the boys.”

Me and a couple of buddies stayed here as a last minuet get away. Was definitely worth the drive. Our cabin was with an amazing lake view. Fishing was good, both lakes (Maple and Cutler) have bass, pike and wall eye. Open fire pit was amazing for cooking lunch. We forgot salt and some other spices and the owners hooked us up with out us even asking for it.
Our cabin was great, view of maple lake from our screen covered patio. We had a no toilet, but the shower house was okay. We didn't go here to spend our time in the cottage anyway. We are college students so we didn't have time to look for negative aspects. We paid little for a great time, defiantly coming back this summer.

If you are sick and tired of the Carribean, where your family burns crisp, and the hot water does not provide the oh so needed! freshness, where there are no seasonal vegetables that burst in your mouth with flavor, where the activity coordinators at the all-inclusive resort drive you up the wall with invitations to a "entertaining gathering", than Cutler Lake Lodge is for you!!!!
It is a serene place. You can choose to rent a cottage (they have 7 different ones) or take your trailer along and rent a parking spot.
The forest, the lakes, the hospitality of the owners - everything about this place is a pure joy. We walked in the forest for hours, hunting for the most delicious wild mushrooms (you need to be careful not to steer too far from the trail, as the forest is very dense, and you can get lost if not careful. Also, do know your mushrooms before you decide to eat them).
The water in in the lakes is so clean, it tastes sweet. When you come out of the lake, the feeling is most refreshing, and energized.
In July there was an abundance of wild raspberries in the forest and along the roads - small berry with a deeply concentrated raspberry taste - most delicious! Also, there were plenty of wild blueberries, also a rare treat for those who travel to Canada from south east coast.
Fishing is a lot of fun - you may be able to catch your dinner right from the dock, but if you decide to take a boat out early in the morning, and if you feel up to it, an extra 10 minute drive will bring you to the Moose Lake, which is the best fishing spot around for many kilometers - you will be endlessly rewarded with an amazing catch.
The owners have done an amazing job renovating the place - the cottages are very welcoming, clean, and the owners (Olga and Alex) are always there to address any issues/questions you may have.
A couple of things to note - there is no cell service - great for those who need to get away. But if you need to get in touch or receive a message, the land line in the main office can be used, and the owners do deliver the messages left for their guests very promptly. Also, do stock up on groceries - the nearest supermarket is about 30 minutes away. You can purchase fresh eggs and seasonal garden vegetables from the neighbors, and pick mushrooms in the forest, but for those of you who can't start the day without a bowl of cereal - you need to bring it with you.
To wrap up - after spending one week here you will be totally renewed, your sanity will be restored, and you will be craving for more!!!!
