This place has seen better days. Paint peeling on the exterior. Mildewed shower curtain in our bathroom. Musty smell throughout house. Very overpriced for what it is.
Owners were friendly and welcoming but have let place get very run down.

After having to leave our disgusting booked accommodation elsewhere, our holiday was turning into a disaster. Luckily we did some internet searching at a very helpful library nearby and stumbled across Saucy Willow. We were shown the rooms and took the one with the heart-shaped jacuzzi. The setting was beautiful and peaceful. The owners couldn't have done more for us. The room was perfect and the breakfasts were delicious. We took the canoe out too which was very enjoyable. They really did rescue our holiday and we would highly recommend staying here.
Thank you.

The Saucy Willow Inn is a beautifully restored 1878 farmhouse full of collectibles, comfortable chairs, and interesting nooks and crannies. We stayed in the very comfortable "Blue Room" for 2 nights enjoying the hospitality of our hosts and Catherine's excellent home cooking. Each morning we had a full breakfast - coffee or tea, juice, fresh fruit ,home made muffins ,an egg dish, sausages or bacon, etc. and on the Saturday night my husband and I had a lovely 3 course meal in front in front of a roaring fire .Melt in your mouth apple pie for dessert...
With January being off season, we found the Inn to be quiet but perfect for us. I suspect that in the summer its much busier but just as pleasant.

This large Victorian house and outlying cottages accommodated our group of 10 on a recent fall weekend. Rooms and beds were very comfortable, though one couple disliked the smell of cigarettes in their cottage. We had breakfasts and dinners there - and the "special" ribs may have been the best I've ever eaten. Two quibbles: lighting levels seemed low practically everywhere for reading; and there was no single room big enough for us all to lounge around together - but parties of 10 are not too common. Beautiful Victorian decor throughout.
Great price and value and I'd go back. - Cam Campbell
