One of the best restaurants in the Sandbanks area that we've discovered. Delicious local cuisine combined with a semi-hip atmosphere.

“Eat here. Period.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2014

Agragrian was, hands-down, our best meal in PEC. The owner was fantastic, lovely to greet us when we arrived, provided us with a fabulous wine recommendation - and the cheese! What an amazing selection.
We had one small issue with our meal, and the owner more than took care of us. She literally went out of her way to ensure we were more than satisfied with our meal.
We had the cheese platter to start (delicious selections and red wine jelly, which we loved), then I had the mussels and my husband had the steak frites. Both were delicious!
Once you're done dinner - be sure to head down to the Speakeasy for prohibition-style cocktails and some amazing live music.
We will most certainly be coming back!

“Warm welcome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2014

The restaurant was full but we were asked to wait a few minutes as a table had requested their bill. We had a drink and then enjoyed a meal that was freshly prepared from locally sourced ingredients. Although tourists we were made welcome. Service was good.

“An enjoyable dining experience.”

We stopped in without a reservation on a Saturday night. Despite the restaurant being fairly full, we were seated right away in the cosy dining room. The menu is fairly limited, but we had no trouble finding something that appealed to each of us. We started with the pate, which was very good - we asked for extra of the delicious toast it is served with. My husband had the pickerel and chips which he said was the best he's ever had. My pasta was very good as well. Dessert was probably the highlight, though - a lemon posset with blueberries. It was light and delicious!!
On the downside, our coffee was not hot at all and service seemed a tad brusque at first (they were quite busy) but warmed up totally by the end of our meal. All in all, we will definitely return for another visit - I hope they will have the lemon posset on the menu.

“Dropped in for lunch.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014

The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was nice. I had the burger and my hubby had the pickerel and chips. The fries were the best I have had in a long time. I would totally recommend either dish. The desserts looked wonderful, but we were trying to be good and didn't partake.
