“Excellent fish & chips”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

Delicious fish & chips. Thin, crispy batter on thick pieces of haddock. Yummy coconut cream pie. Great flavour. Service was slow as they were very busy. Would recommend though.

“okay but not great”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

We've tried this place a couple times lately and it is okay, slow relaxed service though so don't be in a hurry. It is a bar in the small town of Tatamagouche with pub foods plus some other options. We tried the buffet once but it was not to our taste at all, it looked okay with some different choices you wouldn't expect, but even the turkey had a strange flavor which was very odd as usually poultry is always a safe bet. Another time we tried the chicken wings which were just basic, the scallops were good, the nachos were just average. We might give it another go sometime when in the area again.

“Great home cooked meals”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Loved the food, great fries and scallops and the service was fast and friendly. My husband had the hot turkey sandwich, and it was delicious. There was some live entertainment that added to the small town charm.

“Great birthday supper”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Our party of four ate here today for my mother in laws 70th birthday. The place was quite busy, but we were waited on right away. We ordered steak and fries, pan fried haddock and mashed potatoes, chicken cranberry salsa wrap with fries and blt wrap and fries (the special ). Everything was good...the steak was a tad undercooked for how it was ordered (medium well) but everything else was good. The chicken cranberry wrap was excellent. The service was a little slow but nothing to really be concerned about. The desserts looked delicious but we were all too full for dessert. The prices were more than reasonable ....under $60 for the four meals.

“Poor service!!!!”
Reviewed June 8, 2013 via mobile

Four of us came in at 7 pm! Got a table waited waited waited 40 min no one waned to wait on us! I am not sure who's table we were at! Every waitress walked past us and not one asked us if we were waited on! Clearly we were not as we had no drink or menus on our table! I asked one girl if we could have a waitress and she gave us two menus and didn't come back! My husband finely went to the bar and ordered us a drink! The guy bartender brought us our drinks! He took our Order because he knew we were waiting for an hour! Then we waited for our meal for another hour! When we got our meal it was cold! It was a poor experience! I don't mind waiting for service if they are doing the best they can and you can see that they are! However it was a total mess of poor management ! The owner was taking pictures of the band while the wife was sitting down! The daughter was busy talking to the younger crowd! The waitress were plenty but there was no direction! Tables were not cleaned off! We were never asked if we needed anything and we had to go back to the bar for another drink and to find our bill! If things don't change and the service doesn't change then we will not be back and will not recommend this place to anyone! My experience at restaurants is that if it is busy then someone has to give direction and manage there employees and service the customers that are paying to be there!!!
