Would like to rate it 4.5 but thats not an option. No kids menu, but they were very accommodating, making an excellent gluten-free pasta with a simple sauce for us. The pasta prima Vera was obviously made on-order with fresh veggies. No wow factor but still quite tasty.

Umgrego2 - Thankyou for your recent visit to WestSide Bistro, it was our pleasure to accomadate you and your family, especially your young ones. Being Celiac and Lactose myself I know how hard it is to find meals gluten and Lactose free while on the road. We strive to accommodate each guest with special requirements
again safe journey - Chef Phil

Went out for an evening out with another couple and went back to the West Side Bistro to start the night. Have been going to this restaurant since they arrived in New Glasgow and have never been disappointed. Food, service and prices top drawer.

Me and my husband are the proud parents of 7 young kids and we rarely get out for a nice dinner...when we do we ALWAYS go here! Why? one word ...SALMON. I don't know what you do to it, but i've never had anything like it...it's by far my favorite...actually, to be honest, i've not eaten anything else from here! Salmon with tarragon butter, basmatti rice and veg is the only thing i ever want to eat from there it is that good!! Your restaurant has become our little "get away" place when we find some alone time in between doctors visits and diaper changes! lol... Love the food and the service! :)

The food looked good but bland in taste. Price was okay and the service was fair. The atmosphere was nice and homey. (country type home) Restaurant is right off busy road, access difficult and parking is tight.

396HOPE - Thankyou for your recent visit to West Side Bistro, I am disappointed in the fact that we did not satisfy you on your visit, Food Bland - as a Chef for forty years I do not add any salt to my receipes, allowing our patrons to add their own, with such an increase in high blood pressure and allerigies. Cute Place - thankyou, for we take pride in our restoration of the old Carl Baites general store and turning it into a great restaurant spot for lunch and dinner. Parking and Excess to parking lot- We are lucky at West Side Bistro in the fact that we have two controlled entances and exits, one at the lights on Stellarton Road and the other of Military Lane. We provide free parking with seventeen spaces, - you must of visited on a very busy day and yes it does get tight for space at times. Please do not hestiate to come again and enjoy our fare - Chef Phil

Had another great meal at the West Side Bistro last evening - had the Chicken and Scallops in mango sauce with vegetable basmati rice - simply to die for!!! And then wonderful Pumpkin Cheesecake for dessert - had to take it home because of the huge portions in the entre. The food at this restaurant can compare with the best of anywhere I've ever eaten!! Thanks, Phil and Darlene!
