Please, how can one complain about having to ask for a password and not having a TV in the bedroom. You are on vacation in a beautiful country side setting where there is total peace and tranquility. TV and having to ask for a password is of big concern.

We booked this B & B on the web and when we arrived, we immediately booked a second night. We stayed in the building adjacent from the main house (50 feet away). It was clean, private, quiet and comfortable. The main house is as well. Either place is desirable.

Joanna and Chris were the most gracious hosts making sure we had anything and everything we needed. Breakfast is wonderful and the coffee is the best. Joanna admitted to being a coffee lover and she made sure we had the best. Blueberry pancakes are great too.

We live in Florida on the water, however, the view from this place is "second to none." If you are looking for a wonderful and very above average B & B, this is the place to stay.

Mahone Bay is a great town too. Try the Pub for fish and chips.

Room Tip: Room with the jacuzzi tub is great

We had a room in the "annex". While this isn't necessarily a bad thing, we didn't like it and felt like the stepchildren. We wanted to check email (our only means of communicating with home), but we found a card that said we had to go to the main house for internet. The next morning, our host told us that they had a password to be used in the annex for access, but they had nothing about that in the annex. Although the bed was okay, the tv was outside the bedroom. neither of us liked this, even though we did not spend much time watching tv. The shower was not good. It was clean, but there was something wrong with the tub itself. It felt like it was ready to break! Breakfast was good (great coffee--best we had in Nova Scotia) and the view was really good, too.

Room Tip: Stay in the main house.

We spent one night here, and wished we could have stayed longer! The room was so comfortable, and the setting was idyllic. It was just outside of town, so it was easy to get to restaurants, but also nice to be away from the hustle and bustle (ok, there's not much hustle and bustle in Mahone Bay, but you get my meaning). The breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were gracious and attentive. All in all, a very nice bed and breakfast.

A few miles around the bay at Mahone Bay, and atop a hill perches Bayview Pines. We took the smaller ensuite, our daughter et. al. took the larger, so that may have influenced the room score! Charming hosts, very helpful, knowledgeable about area. Wonderful breakfast, including spotting a wild pheasant in the front yard!!

Anyone who is visiting the Mahome Bay Nova Scotia area should make sure they dont miss a stay at the Bayview Pines Bay and Breakfast. I have travelled to many Bed and Breakfasts around the world and this is by far one of the best. The rooms are very well kept, clean, homey and very comfortable. And the breakfast - let me tell you it is incredible - homemade jellies, local tomatoes, pancakes, bacon, eggs and the most delicious breads. The view is also incredible, right on the water overlooking beautiful scenery. You can even book a wedding at this great gem!

What a wonderful two days and nights of our vacation to Nova Scotia! Beautiful room, a view of islands and water, a great breakfast and wonderful hosts! My husband wanted to go fishing in the Atlantic and Chris (the host) lent him his own pole and fishing lures! Chris and Joanna go out of their way to make you feel like you are an honored guest visiting! Wish we had of spent more time here!
