“Hometown Goodness”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

The King's Arms is a cozy place with really good food. It's in Kentville's downtown area, so if you're out running errands and need a place to meet for lunch, this is your place. Don't go for a special supper...

“The food is good, much better than it was and the servers are pleasant and funny.”
Reviewed December 8, 2012 via mobile

Give this place another try. They have made some good changes. The buffalo chicken sandwich is excellent. The majority of the severs are knowledgable and pleasant. They have done a great job updating the inside and the fireplace is warm and cozy.

“terrible service”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

I was part of a group that ate here on Nov 20. The service was the worst that I have ever seen. There were jugs of water on the tables but- no glasses. Some people were ready to leave before our table was served. Food arrived cold..... There are no crackers or rolls with the soup??? No one at our table was asked about dessert , although the waitress said we were....Prices were a little high. Don't go here . They have to get their act together!!!

“Very Disappointing”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

My husband and I had lunch at the Kings Arms Pub today. The restaurant was absolutely freezing and when we asked the waitress about it, she said the someone had turned the heat off the night before. It was surprising to us that the restaurant would still be so cold at noon.
I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich with roast potatoes and my husband had the Veggie Wrap with roast potatoes. When our orders arrived, almost half the plate was empty, no garnish either.
The food tasted fine, but for $14.00 for a chicken sandwich and $10.00 for a vegetable wrap, we expected more. My husband asked for ketchup and the waitress only brought it for my husband.
We felt kind of ripped off. The restaurant was clean and had a fire burning in the fireplace, which was nice, but the chef could have done more with the presentation and the quantity of the food. Even a llittle garnish on the plates would have been nice.
This restaurant came across as a cheap, penny pinching establishment. We won't be returning.

“It's true....”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

The management is horrible and uncaring. The 'chef' has no right being in a kitchen. The wait time for our food was 45 minutes and tasted like it was under a heat lamp for thirty of those minutes. It no doubt was. I only saw one server for the entire place. Poor girl. They must be horribly understaffed or looking to save money in the wrong places. The new owners should really get their heads out of the sand and learn what it takes to run a successful business. On the upside. It looks like all the money went into the decor .... Instead of a real chef and staff.
