“Cozy, quiet, and friendly home away from home.”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

Bill and Ann Marie Monk are wonderful people who share their home with guests. The house and entire atmosphere in Granville Ferry is so quaint and friendly. We visited during "low season" and many things were closed, but that didn't discourage the trip, we had an amazing time and were still able to find much to do. Ann Marie's breakfast was one of the best we have ever had and incomparable to any other bed and breakfast we have stayed at. Thank you Bill and Ann Marie for the wonderful stay.

We had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful B&B on our trip home from Saskatchewan.
The experience was such a blessed one, thank you to such kind, friendly hosts for a memorable
visit. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. We have recommended this to many since our stay.

In April my son and his wife came home from Saskatchewan. For a vacation they wanted to visited the Annapolis Valley, a special place we all love. We arrived at the A Seafaring Maiden Bed and Breakfast and we were greeted at the door and treated like royalty. Words cannot express the beauty of this old home and the hospitality that Anne Marie and Bill Monk showed to us. The smell of fresh coffee outside our bedroom door early in the morning and the beautiful breakfast. The way we were welcomed and treated while we were there is a precious memory I will hold in my heart forever. Come see and enjoy it, as I am sure you will.

Room Tip: Captains room with on suite bath was a great selection.

I just returned from a trip to Nova Scotia with my girlfriend where we spent six idyllic nights at A Seafaring Inn with our hosts, Bill and AnnMarie Monk. We stayed in the Captain's room where we had a bathroom en suite. The old home is in great shape; it is clean, fresh, updated and warm. Bill and AnnMarie are consummate professional hosts-always there when you need them but providing plenty of privacy that all travelers need to restore their batteries. I have traveled the globe for 60 years; this ranks in my top 10 experiences. Make a reservation for a night or two weeks. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: The Captain's room faces the water. Get it if you can!!

During our trip across canada we had a stay at "A Seafaring Maiden" B&B. It was a great experience. The owner, Bill and Marie Ann, do anything for the well being of their guests. The rooms are very original and beautifully decorated. The breakfast you can prepare at home is not more varied and better. We can recommend all of this B&B for a short or longer stay. We five Donat´s from Berlin and Dresden-Germany-would like to thank once again for this great time.

We decided on short notice to travel to Annapolis Royal for a night and booked the Seafaring Maiden based on reviews we had read here. We were welcomed like old friends when we arrived. We were given a choice of rooms and selected the Captain which was very comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous-breakfast apple crisp and Eggs Bennie. Our hosts were so welcoming and very helpful regarding directions and suggestions of places to eat or visit. Will definitely return. Thanks Anne Marie and Bill.

Bill and Anne-Marie where perfect hosts and we received a warm welcome on a very cold day.
Our visit was out of season and so we hapened to be the only guests that night - Bill was kind enough to let us choose whichever of the lovely rooms we wanted - it was a tough choice as they were all lovely - we chose The Captain's Room, beautifully decorated fitting in with the nautical theme of the area - a great size with a lovely comfortable bed.
The Breakfast was delicious and in the evenening they gave us a botlle of their homemade Pinot Noir as we didnt make the stores on time! They also recommended a good restaurant in AR called Bistro East where we had a great meal. Bill and Ann really couldnt have done anything more to improve on our stay!
I would definitly recommend the Seafaring Maiden for a place to stay in Annapolis Royal/Granville Ferry and hope to make it back again some day!

Room Tip: The Captain's Room was lovely!
