Although just open until mid-afternoon, The Kiwi Cafe all by itself is worth a visit to Chester. This was the third time for us to make a stop just to revel in the glorious seafood chowder.

Excellent food, excellent service. If you are in the Chester area, this place is a must visit! Quite possibly the best breakfast burrito that I have ever had!

We stopped at the Kiwi and had a lobster role. Wow!! Was it great. They put about 10 pounds (ok I am exaggerating) on a buttered toasted brioch bun. I thought I died and went to lobster heaven. You have to try this.

We were just looking for a place to have breakfast before heading back home and landed at The Kiwi Café. I took a basic breakfast (meat & eggs) which was great and served with home made bread (from a local bakery) which was very good! Their banana bread which is served warm with a bit of honey is highly recommended! We even all purchased Kiwi Café coffee mugs for a souvenir!

We only had take-out at this charming café, but we did so on several occasions. Their homemade chocolate brownies are to die for - the chocolate icing is the best I have ever tasted. They sell frozen homemade soups (I especially liked the Hungarian Mushroom) which we took back to the campground and had for dinner with a salad. They also have homemade ice cream (though not their own) - the blueberry lemon is divine.
