Role playing at its best. Dressed as 18th century lower class we were all the same, eating, singing and dancing together. Great food and rum, and Sabean made every man feel special!

Thanks for your review and for joining us at the Beggars Banquet. We're winding down with just 22 days left to play dress up and go back in time, however, we will have a few surprises next season. It will be more of everything. Time, space events and style. We look forward to seeing you again if you're in the area. Thanks.

It sounds like you had a good time. Thanks for sharing. We love hearing how our playtrons enjoyed themselves and that they would return. It almost doesn't feel like work to us doing the Beggars Banquet. Our guests make it a true pleasure. Thanks for the review.

Not only did we get to dress up like 18th century lower class but the food was good and the hostess is definitely the one with mostess. One of the highlights of the trip. We went to the fortress first, then topped our day off with the banquet. So glad we topped off our night that way. Definitely try the hot buttered rhum!

We attended the Beggars' Banquet on July13,2014 after visiting the Louisbourg Fortress for the day. This was the cherry on top of the cake! The staff was exceptional and were most welcoming when we arrived to don our 18th century period attire. We felt at home and willing to partake in the festivities of food, food, more food, live music, laughter and a bit of dancing. Sabine the local town wench, and also owner of this fine establishment sets the tone for the whole evening with her stories and shananigans! It is evident she is passionate about giving her visitors the best experience possible and she loves to entertain both young and old. Our party of six loved every minute of this superb dining and entertainment experience and would highly recommend it as the must do event after a day at the Fortress. I am sure this venue will continue to create memorable moments for all who attend for years to come. Bonne Chance Sabine et Etienne and staff, we lift up our hot buttered rum to you !!!

Like Marie Antoinette said "let them eat cake" We're pleased to be the cherry on your cake. We truly enjoy putting on the BB every night. It's our fifth year and we're as excited about it as the first. We do have a little more experience at it mind you.

Thanks for your review and for sharing you views with triadvisor. We appreciate you taking the time to share and for your patronage.

After spending the day in Fort Louisbourg, we partook in the"Beggar's feast" to finish our experience. What a fantastic climax to our day! My wife and I, as well as our sons, who are 9 & 15, enjoyed the traditional meal as well as the dramatical fun that accompanied our evening. Delicious food and wonderful entertainment, both by Etienne (MC/musician), and "Sabine" (actress/historian). Fantastic, polite, service...my boys, as well as my wife and I, throughly enjoyed our experience. I highly recommend this event to complete your day at the fort and totally submerse yourself in the colorful history of Canada and the Maritimes.
Please note that one must have an open mind to throughly emmerse oneself in the evening. .. through costume, history, and imagination. Some may simply observe, but the best seat in the house is when participating in the fun.
My sons, Tristan and Coleman, went to bed smiling, as well as a bit more historically educated.

It's always an honour to be part of someone's good memories. It pleases us to no end when we hear that our playtrons had a great time. It is a nice way to live a bit of history and to remember interesting tidbits. Sabean is surely well versed in Louisbourg 18th century life. We're so glad you shared your evening with us with tripadvisor.
