The views driving north from the Cheticamp entrance while the sun is setting on the Cabot Trail are unparalleled with any coastal drive in the North America! The hiking is great, the beaches are wonderful, the water is clear, but cold, and while not empty, it is delightfully uncrowded for such a wonderful national park. Go if you can!

Lovely local people and views that must be seen to be believed! We stayed at the Keltic Lodge and if you can fit this in, you will not be disappointed. I will never forget this holiday.

Ingonish Beach Nova Scotia is the most beautiful I have seen thus far. Great waves for boogie boarding and playing. The activities available are too numerous to list. A person should allow @ least 5 days to get a good experience. We camped @ Ingonish Campground in Cape Breton Highlands National Park for 4 days and 3 nights. Well patrolled by security, clean, and affordable - this campground rates #1 out of all the camping we have done over the last 11 years. The trails allowed the children (ages 8 and 3) the benefit of the surrounding beauty. Abundant wildlife. The weather cooperated nicely.

The scenery is what it is all about. The speed is slow and there are lots of galleries and many restaurants to grab a bite to eat.
