This is a special place. Attended a wedding there and everything was great! The weather was fantastic which allowed us to enjoy it all! Friendly people and fun times! Can't wait to get back! The food and drinks were great too! Great Nova Scotia destination.

Three moms and seven young teens went to the Keltic Lodge for a weekend get away. We chose the Keltic Lodge because it has a great pool and is a five minute drive to Ingonish Beach. We stayed in a cottage- so clean and in an ideal location on the resort. Our favorite staff member is Alex- she is a university student working at the Keltic for the summer. Alex was responsible for the bonfire on Saturday night where our kids roasted marshmallows and made smores. Alex went above and beyond with our kids, she got large garbage bags and buckets of water and the kids had sliding races down the hill. She sat around the fire with all of us and played games with the kids. Alex is a definite asset to the Keltic Lodge. Can't wait to go back in August!

We will stay here again. The resort is great and lots of restaurants to chose from. there is even a hiking trail right on the resort which was great. I felt that the rooms were a little overpriced for the quality but they are the only better hotel in town so perhaps they have a monopoly. The front desk staff were very nice but they seemed very young and without experience.. I would expect more for the prices they charge. We stayed in the Inn. The hallways were disgusting... did not look like floors were cleaned for days. Our room was large and comfortable but bathrooms were dated and not what we expected for the price we payed. The views and location were great and the breakfast was amazing (included in room price).

Room Tip: All rooms have a waterview so you dont' have to pay extra for it. If you have a CAA/AAA members...

We were driving the Cabot Trail and only booked the day before.

The only availability was a cabin, which was very dark. Had to call maintenance as the air conditioning was not working well.

For a hotel with a long standing positive reputation, I was very surprised at the lack of thought put into the landscaping. It seems that it stopped just short of the cabins.

The lobby and lounge area was beautiful and very well kept

Not worth the cost of the room.

From the moment you arrive you feel you have come to the end of a journey. A great place to relax or keep busy. Everywhere you look is beautiful but not overdone. The grounds are meticulous with lots of flowers and trees but there is more than enough natural looking space to make you feel you are still part of a rustic and remote setting.
We had our choice of a few rooms. Some in the old main lodge and some in the outer buildings, and we chose the old lodge and were very happy. We loved it. The room and bed were perfect. Just big enough to feel roomy, but quaint enough to feel like we were at a lodge.
The staff were all extremely nice. The lodge is very biker friendly. There are lots of things to do there. Check out the web site for sure. If you are a golfer (I'm am but didn't golf) The golfing looked amazing. We had a fantastic lobster dinner and then drinks in the lounge and listened to some great folk music. All in all it was the perfect stay for us. Highly, Highly recommended at least a night there. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: We stayed in the main lodge and loved it. It looked like rain so the manager suggested to me that...

The views are amazing. We only stayed one night, but we would have stayed longer if we could. I've recommended this hotel to many people and plan to go back on my next vacation. This time, I'll stay a whole week!

We just spent 2 glorious sun filled (yes sun filled) weeks in the Maritimes at the end of June 2013. We started off in Halifax, then Wallace, NS, to Morell, PEI then ended our trip at the Keltic Lodge in beautiful Cape Breton.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the sweetest staff member - I think her name was Emma but she reminded me of Daisy from Downton Abby. She was very knowledgeable and took her time to answer all our questions.

Our room was so quaint and the bed was to die for!! I never sleep in to after 10 a.m. - the cleaning staff must have hated us!!

We loved the lounge - we ate there for dinner three of the four nights as we don't enjoy being so formal on vacation. We loved Buddy MacDonald who sang in the lounge three of the nights.

The pool was spectacular and wonderfully situated on the edge of the cliff overlooking the ocean.

I can't say enough about this lodge! I also spent an afternoon in the spa and it was the first time I've ever nodded off during a treatment!

Loved hiking the Middle Head trail out to the end of the peninsula to see the seals swimming in the ocean.

Then to top of the trip we golfed the Highlands and heard the whales singing off the 13th tee - bucket list - check!!

When I got home I immediately started planning my next trip to the Maritimes to do a complete loop of the Cabot Trail to most definitely include the KELTIC LODGE!!

Room Tip: The Main Inn rooms were very quiet and comfy!! No a/c though!!

See you then.
