“great casual italian food in a waterfront location”
Reviewed August 8, 2011

Had lunch with friends here. Great steak sub. Substituted fries for no extra charge for a large, fresh garden salad. Excellent server who was very attentive. Went back for dinner and had chicken alfredo and same salad. Good, hearty, basic italian fare to satisfy your appetite after a day of hiking. Good value. Casual atmosphere.

“Best Pizza Crust in Cape Breton!!”
Reviewed April 10, 2011

My wife and I are pizza fanatics and have pizza everywhere we go. We travelled to Cheticamp for a weekend getaway at the Pilot Whale Chalets and stopped in at Wabo's for supper...hands down the best pizza crust in Cape Breton and the service was not far behind!! I can't forget to mention how clean the place was too. The girl working the front counter went out of her way to help us out and answer all our questions about the town. We were so impressed we returned for lunch the next day and discovered their steak subs which were just as good as the pizza!! We will definately be back!

“Very good pizza”
Reviewed September 12, 2010

We took away a pizza an evening and I was delighted to taste a real good Italian style pizza. Coming from Europe we are used to them and this one was really in the competition. We haven't tried the restaurant itself though, only the take away.

“Pretty good”
Reviewed August 2, 2008

We ate dinner here on a rainy evening during an overnight stay in Cheticamp. Very friendly, pleasant service; we had a table in the dining room overlooking the water. Food was reasonably priced. My husband and son enjoyed their shared order of chicken wings ($6.45) and a small pizza ($7.55). I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and Caesar salad ($8.45) which came with garlic bread. My meal was kind of odd, because the spaghetti and salad were served on the same plate. Hot and cold on the same plate ... strange. Spaghetti tasted like it had been cooked before and quickly reheated in hot water. Oh well, a cheap glass of red wine ($3.25 - are you kidding me?) took my mind off of that. Overall, I wouldn't make a special trip back to Wabo's, but considering how little there is in Cheticamp, it was decent meal overall.
