My husband and I visited Cheticamp for two days JUL 2-3 and got into Acadian Motel in spite of some bad writing about it on tripadvisor. We were surprised. The owner was very nice, informative and helpful. The room was spacious and immaculate with a flat TV, a refrigerator, a macro wave and a brand new air condition.
The motel is located in the middle of the village close to the co-op supermarket, the bakery, the restaurants and the board walk. For us this motel was a real gem.
The provide free wi fi but no phone in the room and no breakfast.

We spent two nights at this location. The rooms were spotless the view was amazing and the staff was more than courteous. This motel is located in the center of the community with a 5 minute drive from the entrance to the Cabot Trail. It is also near a great little boardwalk along the harbor. There is also many restaurants within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

Motel Was nice , simple but nice clean and comfortable. It was a warm afternoon when we arrived and I thought there was air condition in the room . When I asked how to turn the air on I was told by the owner there wasn't one and if I didn't like it I was free to leave ,provided I had not put anything in the room,he was fully aware that we had put our luggage in the room. Well there was nothing we could do but deal with the situation, True after the sun went down and we had the windows open it was comfortable. All he had to do was to tell me that, in about a couple of hours it would be very nice and comfortable. I am from the States and not accustomed to a business operator being so rude. . I had heard about his rudeness in PEI ,but thought no one could be that rude. I would not stay there again and do not recommend it to an enemy much less a friend.;

Well maintained basic motel (no hair drier - no air conditioning) right off the highway.

The unit did have a fridge and fan.

It worked out fine for one night on route to the National park.

The staff was friendly and helpful

We were pleasantly surprised at our large room (#5) in a great location. This hotel is in a perfect location overlooking the harbor in the center of Cheticamp. Our family of 5 (including 2 teenagers) had lots of room with 3 very comfortable queen beds, a table and chairs, fridge, microwave and internet. We walked around the town and had a fantastic dinner watching the sunset at the Hometown Kitchen just down the street. The real reason to go to Cheticamp is to explore the Cabot trail - and we had an unbelievable time hiking and seeing beaver, moose, a family of bears, whales, and coyote!

We stayed at the Acadian Motel for 3 nights. It is a great place to stay and good value if you want to explore that side of Cape Breton Island and the Cabot Trail. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Our room had a microwave and small refrigerator which was a big plus. The motel was quiet and the gentleman who runs the place was very courteous and helpful. He was able to give us lots of useful information on the local area. We golfed at Le Portage in Cheticamp. It's a nice public style course with very friendly staff. They have a TIm Horton's in Cheticmap and a few other family style restaurants. All of our meals were excellent. The Cabot Trail was spectacular. If you need a place to stay, I would highly recommend the Acadian Motel.

We spent a night in Chéticamp while doing the Cabot Trail. The motel is centrally located. It's easy to walk the little stretch of the Trail that runs through the village. The room was clean and spacious. There was a little fridge which was nice. The owner was friendly. Would stop there again.
