“A history of the church”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

Evidently no regular open hours. Closed when we went the first time but open the next. Be sure to test all doors. Be sure to go down ramp at front left to learn all about the building of the original church, it's destruction and subsequent rebuilding of the current building. It is also the burial site of the Priest who did all the building. A beautiful interior.

“Very grand”

What a lovely church and such a surprise to come across. This helped us decide to pursue the Evangeline Trail once we reached the other side of Nova Scotia

“Beautiful Church”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

The church steeple can be seen from any place in Cheticamp. The church is constructed of stone and is very old. The inside stained windows are beautiful with an outstanding alter.

“Very surprising to find this in small town”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Visited with a tour group. This church is located in a very small town, so it was really surprising to see the grand and ornate architecture. The guide gave us a great history of the church and the priest who built it (who is buried in the basement). Worth a stop while on the Cabot Trail.
