I wasn't sure I wanted to go into a Catholic church with all of the religious paraphanaelia, but from an architectural standpoint it was a beautiful church. I wasn't crazy about the incense smell, but your nose adjusts fairly quickly.

Anyone driving any where near Cheticamp will see this church. It is right on the main highway. It is left open for tourists and, of course, a donation can be made too. Candles are available to light for a fee. There is a crypt of the first pastor in a small sanctuary; in there are some historic pictures and a brief history of the church and parish. You can go up to the balcony to see the old pump organ up close. This church offers plenty of photo ops.

As long as you are in Cheticamp, you should stop to see this church. It is very pretty and is part of the history of the region.
