If you're looking to learn a lot about Acadian lifestyle, this is definitely a one-stop lesson in history. You will be treated to the unique art of hooked rugs through the Elizabeth LeFort Gallery, lifestyles/history of people in the community and there's a lot of information here about attractions and the Cabot Trail. There's a small contribution to be paid to see the Gallery, but it is worth the money. This town has a lot to offer it's visitors and this attraction is well worth the visit.

We learned so much about early life in Nova Scotia. A beautiful hooked rug displaying portraits of every President through Kennedy I believe. It took 11 months to create. It is huge. Individual portraits made and given to Important people. Lots of actual tools used in daily life over centuries. Cheticamp at one time was the center of trade in the area and it is all explained in an array of displays. Well worth a visit.

This is really several small museums in one. It includes the Elizabeth LeFort Gallery, hooked rug making in general, and many artifacts of early Acadien Life. A very interesting glimpse into the life of Acadiens and one particularly gifted wool artist. I'd take about an hour to view it, perhaps a bit more. Well worth it.

Very well done all about the history of the area and the rug hooking that the ladies have done here for many years

Enjoyable experience, would recommend to anyone who likes history, the tales of the first settlers or loves handcrafts.
