Travelling through we noticed the bakery and pulled in. From here we just followed the aromas for some fresh baked breads. But we couldn't resist and had also meat pies and a blueberry pie. So good. Now back in BC we still relish this memory

What more can I say. The oat cakes are terrific and I am a sucker for cinnamon buns and they make both the big sticky ones and my favorite the small ones sans icing. Everything is fresh daily and they don't remove the calories so beware!

This bakery is on the north end of Cheticamp, and opens quite early, making it ideal to grab a sandwich and some baked goods for a day in the park. The buns for the sandwiches are wonderful, and there's a good selection of ham, turkey, roast beef, or smoked meat. Scones, cookies, and oat cakes were all good.

Traveling to the heart of French Acadia on Cape Breton Island we were very excited to find a boulangerie on the road. Expecting a real French bakery experience we ordered a baguette, a croissant and a chocolate croissant. They were all okay but nothing like we're accustomed to in a real French bakery. For example the baguette was soft outside and inside instead of crusty on the outside. So don't get your hopes up at this place....
