“Fall foliage on Cape Breton Island”
Reviewed October 18, 2010

Thinking of catching the fall foliage in a new and different place, away from it all , with added sea coast, then Cape Breton Island is the place. Baddeck is a nice quiet town on the water in the center of the island. It has fresh lobster restaurants, sail boat rides (the Amoeba), hiking trails, and some comfortable hotels (the Silver Dart).
Mid October (8-16) also has the Celtic Colours music festival going on throughout the island. This is a world class festival showcasing Cape Bretons famous music with internationally renowned folk-world-traditional musicians also appearing. Add spectacular beauty to warm friendly locals in a laid back stress free environment and this makes Cape Breton paradise.
