Ordered mussels to start, over half were unopened. We didn't eat the unopened ones, the waitress did bring a few more. Ordered English style fish n chips. Over battered and under cooked, batter was uncooked and doughy. I couldn't eat mine. They charged full price even after complaining and not eating the meal.

We ate at the Lynwood since we were going to the Ceilidh across the street that evening. They had a lobster and pile of mussels special that was very good. The servers and host were very friendly and did everything possible to make sure thing were right with your meal. We ate on the porch which was a very nice and casual setting.

We did not have reservations, but I think they are accepted. Sometimes a waiter or waitress make the difference. This waitress was superwoman. She even picked some herbs out of their herb garden especially for our regional taste that are not normally provided on the dish we ordered. She give my wife a taste of the local wine she wanted to try before pouring a full glass. Service like that is unusual to experience. Service aside, the food was delicious. We are land lubbers living away from the sea. We splurge whenever possible on seafood and share our entrees with each other. Doubles our pleasure. That evening there was a singer on the porch where we ate who provided just the kind of music at just the right volume to make us happy. We began to look forward to each of his songs. We highly recommend the Lynwood!!!

We stopped here for supper while on vacation. We looked inside and it was very nice, if a bit on the "fancy" side for our taste. We opted for the more casual atmosphere of the patio which was comfortable and had an entertainer (an man with a guitar singing some well-known older songs). Service was quite slow and the server was apologetic about it, explaining that a large group had come in unexpectedly, but we were in no hurry as we were enjoying the music and the evening.

My wife had scallops and I had a steak. Both were delicious and the steak was cooked as I had ordered. It wasn't cheap, but reasonable for a tourest area and a much better value than the Bell Bouy restaurant where we had eaten the previous night. I have celiac disease and must folow a gluten-free diet and they were able to manage that no problem.

We decided to try this place for lunch. The building itself was very nice; set in an old style house. We decided to sit on the deck (very nice.) Then came our server – she was very loud and unprofessional. We waited a long, long time for our beverages. A bottomless cup of coffee is $2.75 a cup and could only be filled after chasing the server through the restaurant! The person at the desk was having a particularly bad day and she let everyone on the deck know it! My husband complained when he paid the bill at the front desk and she was very defensive and got upset!! The food is very good; unfortunately, the service we received was terrible.
