Our third trip to lovely Cape Breton and we finally found a great b&b! We are frequent bed and breakfasters and Broad Water Inn exceeded our expectations. Our guest room, "Breton", overlooking the lake, was immaculate and comfortable. The staff was more than accommodating and our host, John, made each breakfast a memorable one with his remarkable stories of Alexander G. Bell and his associates.

my wife and i stayed one night at the broadway inn and enjoyed our stay tremendously. the house is simple but beautiful and comfortable. in the begining john gave us a very spacious and well equipped room but when he found out we intended to eat the food we brought with us he upgraded it to a huge suite with a livingroom and a kitchen in the same price. the view from the windows is charming and breakfast was very good. all together, a perfect place to stay before you start cabot trail.

Room Tip: all are great

Although this may not be the most beautiful - the setting is great and the hosts are wonderful. They are knowledgeable about the area and offer great tips for travel. Would I come back to Broadwater Inn....you bet!

...to relax! John is a very friendly host and he has given us many recommendations for our trip on the "Cabot Trail". He knows the area and its history very well. We had a great view on the Lake from our room and breakfast was very good. It was a very relaxing and interesting stay at the Broadwater Inn. We can only recommend it! Greetings from Switzerland!

We stayed 2 nights at the Broadwater, June 12-13. We were graciously greeted by the Innkeeper, John and housekeeper, Marie. Our room ,The Breton, was immaculate, breakfast was good (although the bacon was a little underdone for our tastes). Innkeeper John is a wealth of information about the history of the area and of things to do and see. He even provided us with a laminated map to use as we followed the Cabot Trail. Weather was not cooperating, but I don't think even John could control that. We would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling in this area.
