The hotel was very quaint and the rooms had a lot of antiques and it did have reliable wifi. It was not very wheelchair accessible, but was a very nice place to stay. It is fairly central and easy to get to the town center.

We stayed here on two different nights in two different rooms. Our first room was on the 2nd floor (No. 17). A bit small, but it had a balcony with a couple of plastic chairs and table. Plenty adequate for our needs, and you cannot beat the rate. The floors were hardwood and clean. The bed was comfortable. The lighting was good and the a/c worked. A/C can be really important during the evening hours before the sun sets and if there is no wind at night. It was very quiet.

The second night we stayed in Cabin 43, and I loved it. Pictures do not do it justice. There's no view outside, but if all you really need is a comfortable room, this is it. There was a small porch for sitting and drinking wine. The room was painted a lovely shade of green, and you could tell that they had taken steps to make it comfy. Wonderfully soft linens, coffee-maker, small refrigerator, large bath with a deep, jetted tub that worked. Windows opened, so we didn't need to use the a/c. The ceiling fan was a nice touch. It just felt wonderful after a long hike on the Cabot Trail.

The front desk help was wonderfully kind.

The restaurant was the only downfall. The night we had dinner, it took a very long time. On my trip to Nova Scotia, I found that most restaurants cooked to order and food was fresh, therefore it was not "fast". The food was good, it just took an inordinate amount of time to get it, but the patio dining was a pleasant place to wait for it. No reason to hurry.

Great location but places not as well maintained as the other properties on the street.
The restaurant feels bland, so we decided not to eat there upon arrival. Considered the Beatiful patio for breakfast (continental or hot breakfast not included). owever we had to walk through dinners on patio to Acess the lodge which made me uncomfortable and must sully the dinning experience.
Place does has wifi, fans and a hair blower. However no coffee machine, NO AC, no fridge, not enough towels for the room. also they only provide hand soap. No shampoo, no hair conditioner. No, mouthwash, no shower caps. Be prepared to bring your own which is a pain in the buttom. The hand soap provided is not even hand pump but small bar soap. (Bacteria bars as I call them)

No ac so luckily it's a cool night. Or I would not be happy.
No major issues but I would not come back. he place was below expectation for price. I have had more emenities at low end motels then here.

Room was also a little musty smelly.

Room Tip: Not worth it. Book any other place on the street unless your stuck

Great location behind old Victorian house where Alexander Graham Bell stayed awhile. Central to everything, clean, neat, & quiet. Room was charmingly decorated. No air conditioning, but nice cross breeze was fine.

Room was CROWDED. 2nd floor - 2 twin beds - 3 extra chairs, bathroom. The room was very crammed and choppy. It appears they added the bathroom recently and it greatly reduced the space in the room. As to be expected in a vintage "inn" there was 1 electrical outlet in the whole room, including the bathroom. We stayed i 4 different inns/bed and breakfasts in nova scotia and this was the least clean. THere was trash under the beds (soda bottles) from previous guests. The front desk attendant was often not available or able to answer our questions. We did go to the cleidh and that was amazing! The food a the telegraph house was delicious though service was not great. Location was great - easy walk to restaurants and shops.

We stayed a few nights in one of their motel rooms during our visit to Cape Breton Island.

Centrally located right in the main area of Baddeck, yet quiet and peaceful. Steps away from restaurants, cafes, delis and walking distance to the Alexander Graham Bell museum.

There is on site dining but surprisingly, they don't offer discounts to their guests.

A bit pricey too considering breakfast is not included.

Not in my guidebooks, the Telegraph House popped up on Google as a possible lodging when we drove around Baddeck. Part old inn and part newer motel (but still vintage), it was frequented by Alexander Graham Bell. Our room in the motel section was cottagey-feeling, clean, & contained 3 comfy beds! Older TV, knotty pine furnishings--we liked the value, peace, & location enough to stay another night. The lake and town are serene and lovely.
