Description: The Twine Loft, recommended by "Where to Eat in Canada" offers delectable dining in an ambiance created by the sound of water, the rays of the setting sun on the bay and the flicker of candle light. Dine by reservation during set sitting times or drop in for afternoon Happy Hour on the waterside deck. The In-house sommelier has designed a fine wine list accompanied by a selection of local beers and spirits. Dinner includes a set menu multi-course meal with a choice of a meat of fish dish for the main course. Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free menus are available by request. Online reservations ca be made for tables of 2 only. Please contact the Twine Loft directly for parties of a different size.

We had a 5:30 booking in the fully booked dining room. The menu offered two choices of appetizer and main course and a dessert of Newfoundland berry pudding with Screech sauce. The carrot and orange soup was very nice and the green salad with cranberries and nasturtium was small but colourful. We all chose the hazelnut encrusted salmon with dauphinoise potatoes au gratin and roasted root vegetables. The alternative was lamb shanks. There was plenty to eat and the food was delicious. The best place to eat in Trinity.

It was fun going to the Twine Loft for dinner; they offer a three-course meal (appy, entrée, plus dessert and coffee or tea) for $39. The food was good, if not over-the-top divine, and there was so much of it that my friends and I all ate our leftovers for dinner the next night.

We enjoyed the supper here so much that we came back a second night in Trinity rather than try another place. There was only two choices for the main course but we were fortunate to have just what we wanted each night. Check in the morning or the night before to see what is being offered. This is a place to dine rather than eat and reservations are recommended in the summer season.

The pecan encrusted salmon was yummy, the chocolate hazelnut dessert left me wanting more ( although it was a generous serving!) Excellent and attentive service.

Others have said it all but I just want to add a few notes. Aside from the really great lamb shanks, the wine selection was good. The three-course meal is $39 per person, very reasonable for the quality of food. Sunset on the dock with a glass of wine before dinner was wonderful. The service was very professional and still friendly and personal. I would highly recommend this place. There are two sittings so book early as it is small and fills up.
