My boyfriend and I spent the week touring the east coast of Newfoundland (including a brief trip to France on the way - St. Pierre et Miquelon), and ended with two days in Trinity and the Bonavista Peninsula. We were so lucky to book two nights at the Maidment, without any prior information and it was without question the loveliest stay during our trip. Our room was large, charmingly decorated and with a bed my boyfriend declared to be the most comfortable of the week! And Karen went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of - calling restaurants to make sure we could still get in (its a shock for New Yorkers to end up places where there aren't all-night dining options!), offering hiking and activity advice, and lending us binoculars. She also cooks an absolutely incredible breakfast which we were lucky to enjoy twice. If we were to do our trip over again, we'd definitely spend more time at Trinity in general and the Maidment in particular!
