“Amazingly Fresh”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

Java Jacks is a breath of fresh air in Western Newfoundland. Fresh vegetables and wholesome food. The only place we were able to find good, vegan food. They have a garden in front of the restaurant where they grow fresh vegetables. The service and atmosphere are excellent.

“Great food”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

We had lunch here on our first day in Rocky Harbour and dinner the next evening. The food was excellent. We liked the food so much that on our way back from St. Anthony on our way to Grand Falls-Windsor we made a point of stopping in for lunch. Staff were very friendly.

“Great coffee and treats!”

The chocolate bars were amazing, and their house blend coffee is delicious. I love the table by the window too, so pretty with the sand and shells under the glass!!

“A great choice for Rocky Harbour”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

We were able to walk over from our nearby B&B. it was extremely busy as there was a large group in at the same time but they were able to seat us right away and the service was not unduly slow. I had delicious pan fried scallops and my husband had cod. Both meals were beautifully presented and were just the right portion so that we felt comfortable when done . No room for dessert , but others nearby looked to be having some lovely confections! It's a pleasant homey feeling cafe with art for sale on display throughout. Tables are very close together so it can feel a bit cramped when it was as full as we found it that night. There is a coffee bar downstairs and you can pre order boxed lunches for the following day although we didn't do this. Our meal for two with wine was $100 all in
