We had two dinners here recently. The first time we really enjoyed our dinner. It was the first time we actually LIKED the pan fried cod in a family-type restaurant. And the fried chips were pretty good too. So we went again 2 nights later. This time the cod was a bit soggy and the chips not as good as the first time. Maybe they have different cooks on different nights. But there were many people there on both nights, all enjoying their dinners.

The food was good, my husband and I had the moose burgers and my son had the pizza.
The service, however, left a lot to be desired. It wasn't bad, it was just non-exsistant. We had our order taken, we think our server forgot our drinks for about 10 minutes, our food was dropped off (and the server took off) and we never saw her again. I had to get up to ask for anything I needed.
I would still recommend this place though, it has good prices, and good food!

Located in the southeast corner of Rocky Harbour, Earl's (or Earles Bakery) is deceptively a treasure worth discovering. Do not be turned away thinking Earl's is simply a convience store.

The service staff were very friendly and inviting. Earl's is not a posh location by any stretch, however what you will receive is excellent food, service and a welcoming restaurant. Food is reasonably priced and portion size is very large. Menu has something for everyone. Local favs are the Moose Stew and Burgers...Fish and Chips and the salmon are excellent. Earl's is a licensed establishment and the Quidi Vidi "Iceberg Beer" is outstanding!
Earl's is family oriented and has local entertainment scheduled throughout the week.

The ice cream sundays were a big hit with the kids!

Local crafts, music and baked goods are also located within the same building as the restaurant. Some neat local stuff!

Check out Earl's......I do not think that you will be disappointed. Enjoy!!

The moose burger was well-appointed with accompaniments and tasty fries. The burger was tasty and have very minimal gaminess. Service quality depended upon the server. Some servers were friendly and responsive, others were indifferent; management should ensure that servers are all on the same page when it comes to ensuring consistent quality service. Overall, Earl's is the best value I found in Rocky Harbour due to the quality of the food and the fair prices.
