“A must visit!”
Reviewed June 21, 2014

My husband and I ate there last night and are still talking about our enjoyable dining experience. I was not hungry but ordered the pea soup and grilled cheese sandwich. They added the onion slices to my grilled cheese as I requested. It was the best sandwich I have ever eaten. The pea soup was filled with veggies and not that mushy soup you buy in a can, homemade and excellent. My husband ordered the fish cakes and immediately said " they are just like my Mom use to make". Delicious, delicious, delicious ! Lots of gift ware, and warm Woolley wear to choose from. Staff were very friendly and interesting. They have created a beautiful loft above the restaurant and rent it out to tourist. It has a marvelous view of the water. Thank you Joyce and Boyd. Will go again!

“Local colour”
Reviewed June 6, 2014

We had breakfast here and got great value for our money. Many people from the area were enjoying their morning coffee and willingly shared stories with us about local events and history, and really provided the famous Newfoundland hospitality. We both had French toast..excellent.

“Best Breakfast on the Northern Peninsula”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

You must stop in and have Joyce's fishcakes and eggs for breakfast. Best fresh fishcakes ever! Awesome baked goods, great atmosphere, gift shop filled with local crafts and souvenirs, and right on the Rock Harbour waterfront.

“A Downhome Cafe”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

This bright, cheerful cafe is a very welcoming place. The fare
is delicious home-made food at very reasonable prices.
A gift shop is attached for Newfoundland souvenirs.
Joyce and her staff are master of serving up Downhome
hospitality. A "must-do" while in Gros Morne.
