Can't add too much to the above. It's definitely a find. The house is the most charming one we saw in the Gros Morne/Northern peninsula area. The accommodations were also very charming and very comfortable. The owners gracious, the breakfast excellent, what more can you ask? It was easy to find, quiet but central, Java Jack's down the street offered the best meals we found in either Gros Morne area or northward to L'Anse aux Meadows. Of course good fish etc.., but also fresh salad and veggies from the garden out front.

Noyt many people will treat travelllers as well as Lurlee, her husband, son-Rob and his wife. This is truely a family place with all the charm and ambiance that accompanies the Newfoundland experience. From the cozy little nook upstairs, where the windows are open letting in the sea breeze to the available hot green tea with filtered water to the very nice upstairs bedrooms--this is a place you are going to like. The breakfast were made to order and Lurlee and her husband make the best bacon, eggs (just right) homemade bread, jams, jellies, potatoes, coffee and orange juice. Or, if you prefer, Rob and wife will make eggs benedict. There is also available excellent cut oats with bacon.

The upstairs roooms are the best but there is not a bad room in the place. Pay the difference and get the upstairs rooms. They offer the best views.

This family is simply superb. By the way, we are not related to them and never met them before and felt right at home.

Having spent most of the day in Goose Bay (St. Anthony’s) watching icebergs and then on to historic treasures of L’Anse Aux Meadows (where we say moose and whales), we then drove 4 hours back down the scenic coast of Newfoundland Strait into the heart of Gros Morne National Park to Rocky Harbour for our nights stay at the Wildflower Country Inn. We arrived early evening…just before sunset to this remarkable home with its lovely porch looking over Rocky Harbour Bay. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a large ensuite bath, modernized in a pine décor. Our hosts recommended the Fisherman’s Landing Restaurant for its authentic Newfoundland charm and great seafood … delightful.
Early next morning were up early and ready to adventure one of the many fabulous hiking trails in Gros Morne Park. Our breakfast of eggs Benedict with toast and coffee was just what we needed as we headed off to hike Bakers Brook Falls.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights with our 6 month old daughter. Our hosts were very warm and welcoming. We stayed in their guest house - it was quite large and had a sitting area that could be separated from the our bed by a curtain. This meant we could set up our pack'n play and our daughter wouldn't be disturbed by us when she went to bed early. Breakfast was an excellent home cooked meal and the location was ideal in Rocky Harbour (walking distance to restaurants). We will definitely stay there again when we go back to Newfoundland.

Room Tip: Book early

We had booked 4 nights in Wildflowers Coutnry Inn as part of our trip to NL this july & August. We were to stay there twice, once for 3 nights then again after L'anse-au-meadows for another night. We knew there was a $25 fee for cancelling. Unfortunately i was stricken with Bell's palsy 5 days before our trip so the trip was cancelled. So we called all the hotels & B&B's and even offered to send the medical certificate. All the B&B's and hotels told us not a problem: get well soon and come out and see us, EXCEPT Wildflowers, where we were told that even with a week's notice before we were to arrive and even if they managed to rebook the room, "it was a lot of trouble to make a new booking" ... So even though they managed to refill our room they still charged us $100 for the 4 nights we were unable to use. We find this practice unethical and we wouldn't stay with them now if they were the last B&B in Newfoundland.

We stayed for two nights while visiting Gros Morne National Park. Our room was large, clean and comfortable; the sheets were soft but looked a bit tired. The bathroom (with stall shower, no tub) was not luxurious but it was fine. The owners were friendly, helpful and gracious. I'd like to address comments I've read from another reviewer regarding the breakfast. Guests are now offered three hot breakfast choices which are scrambled eggs with bacon or oatmeal or (if I remember correctly) poached eggs with home smoked ham. Orange juice is offered. Coffee (or tea) is plentiful and very good (the best we had at any B & B). Another guest sitting with us had the oatmeal and thought it was excellent, it had some kind of fruit compote served with it. The egg dishes were nicely garnished with fresh fruit (a cherry, blueberries, a slice of orange and of watermelon, and some grapes). Three attractive little jam pots were on the table (raspberry, blueberry and orange marmalade). We thought it was great.
Don't miss taking the boat trip on Western Brook Pond in the park. It is fantastic.

We are 2 couples 55+ and were very pleased with our accommodations. Our rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. They have a lovely sitting room on the 2nd floor with a view over the harbor which was a perfect place to sit and chat over a pre-dinner drink. Breakfast was excellent and they accommodated us by preparing it earlier than normal as needed we leave early for a boat cruise.
