If you are looking for a great escape off season then Fisher's Loft Inn in Port Rexton is a great place to visit. Their dining room is open and only offers one choice for dinner, so make sure you advise at the time of booking for any special food requirements. The breakfast at the Inn is top notch and our server was excellent - you must pay for breakfast but it is worth the money.

Our room was nice and spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The tvs in the rooms are very tiny and not up to their Canada Select 4 1/2 star rating - however, most guests are there for the scenery and not to watch tv - however, in our case due to inclimate weather it would have been nice to have had a bit larger tv. The high speed internet worked great and overall we loved our visit. The property is very clean and nicely laid out. Great gardens abound the property and they were in the process of constructing a greenhouse when we were there. We look forward to going back again next year.

Stayed at Fisher's Loft for the second time during a tour of Newfoundland in August 2009. We love this place -- it is comfortable and classy. The rooms are spacious with amazing views and a simplicity of design that really works. There is amazing attention to detail. The Port Rexton/Trinity area has a lot to offer in terms of history, culture and outdoor pursuits (hiking, whale watching, etc.), and we will certainly return.

Inn was recommended to us by our travel agent as the ideal spot to celebrate our 50th anniversary. She was right in every respect. We marveled at the Inn's setting on the coastline of Trinity Bay, loved the room and the view and the friendliness of the owners and staff, and the food presentations. We walked, hiked, browsed, ate and reveled at our luck to be there. A true gem for celebrating a significant life's milestone.

Liked our stay, the room was nicely decorated with some great artwork. The bathroom was very spacious. The room however was located over the lounge / kitchen, thus it was very noisey during meal service in the evening and early in the morning. If they have you booked in room #10, request another. The food in the dining room was excellent but very overpriced. The dinner with drinks came to $150 but was equilavent to other restaurants at a $120 price point for the same quality food and service. The area is very scenic and the property was well manicured. Produce from the onsite vegetable gardens was served at the restaurant, a nice touch. The nearby hiking trail, Skerwink Trail, has fablous ocean vistas and a must during your stay in Port Rexton, the trail can be very muddy and sliperry after a days rain.
