Stayed for 2 nights with a group - a highlight of our 2 week sojourn in Newfoundland. We enjoyed a wonderful convivial dinner (possibly a little loud for other diners!) and lovely accommodation in a building all to ourselves. Best not to be in a hurry at breakfast but it's worth the wait. Don't miss the Skerwink Trail. The light is especially good in the late afternoon just before happy hour.

Fishers' Loft is grand, just grand. We stayed in room 4 in the Green House. It's a lovely room with a pair of stellar views, great bathroom, stereo with iPod connection. Meals were perfect and in addition to being close to Trinity and Elleston, the Inn is close to Skerwink Walk, which is a fantastic, fantastic 5.4 k trail that takes you from vista to vista, 360 viewing station, and a lovely cove from which to wet your toes. We love the Inn.

Room Tip: 3 different buildings, each with its own character. We stayed in the Green House, which is by the re...

I was hesitate in starting this review because I really do want to go back and hope there is room when I do. People, food are amazing but the views are spectacular!!!!!!!

Dinner at 55 dollars is reasonable folks. Freshly made with care and love.
A bit noisy in the dining room but that is ok after your first mouth full.

When you stay here go do the skerwick trail in the morning and come back for a siesta and then go for a drink before dinner and sit outside and soak up the view before dinner.

Room Tip: Room 2 is a great room - shares building with room 1 and 3

Fishers' Loft is lovely - several buildings set into meadows overlooking Fox Harbour. We stayed there for two nights. The views from our room, and from the adirondack chairs placed thoughtfully on the hillside were spectacular. Calm, peaceful-really lovely.

The room itself was not especially comfortable. The bed was really, really hard to the point where I could only get comfortable sleeping on top of the folded duvet. The room did not have any chairs other than a wooden one, and furniture was situated so that it was a bit of a maze to get to the washroom. Complementary shampoos and soaps were L'Occitaine and lovely.

We had fantastic meals, and are still dreaming of the semi-freddo dessert we had with dinner!

Our stay was a real treat. We had a large beautiful room, the gourmet meal was superb and the location breathtaking. A real bonus is that it is a five minute walk to the Skelwink Trail which is one of the premier hiking trails (about 5 km) in all of Nfld with stunning views at every turn.

We stayed at Fishers' for two nights. Our room ( # 11 ) was very roomy and the bathroom extremely large. The onsite dinner is $55 pp and the hot breakfast which featured two hot choices to accompany the fruits and oatmeal was very good.
There is a beautiful view of Fox Island and the ability for a nice hilly walk around the area exists.
We saw moose on two separate occasions during our stay.

Room Tip: You can walk ( no more than 5 minutes ) to the dining room building or drive if you wish.

Beautiful lodge, perfect for hiking the Skerwink trail - just walk out the door and down the trail right from the lodge! The rooms were nice and well outfitted. We stayed in the new Conference building and although there was only a peek view, it was very nice and has a great deck for sitting and enjoying the view. We LOVED the wonderful, fresh eggs & bacon breakfast you'll be craving after all those starchy NL continental breakfasts.
