Just a few minutes drive from the ferry to Nova Scotia, it's the perfect stopover for a meal or overnight. We stopped in just for dinner as our boat sailed in a few hours. Our second visit there and both times were excellent. We had the pan-fried Cod, with Scrunchions (bits of fried pork fat) a traditional Newfoundland treat, mashed potato and steamed carrots. I catch my own codfish, so I know what fresh really is and this was excellent! For dessert we chose the French Vanilla Cheese Cake topped with local Partridge (Lingon) Berries. It was perfect, tart & sweet at the same time. The waitress was excellent, despite being solo and very busy there was no delay or lack of attentiveness. We'll definitely return.
