Next to the norseman restaurant you find the Leif Ericson Monument, who once was the leader of the norsemen arriving as the first Europeans in North America. You learn more about him at the national historic site nearby.

Was driving around and just happened to see this and stopped to view it. Great statue to stop and take pictures with! A good story on the plaque explaining the story of the statue.

This is at the very tip and you can see icebergs from this location. The statue was nice and the history on the plaques were nice to tell what was what.

Interesting setting. A great statue and just down the road from L'Anse Aux Meadows. The restaurant was closed but this was an interesting replacement.

This is just a statue. There is no park around it, no gardens, no spectacular vista - just a few fishing buildings and a road. It's a nice place to take a selfie to show you have been there, but other than that there is no reason to make a special trip to see this. It does commemorate the Viking presence in Newfoundland and honours Ericson, but other than that there is nothing special about it.
