This was our first B&B experience, in several years. These folks are awesome hosts. They went out of their way, telling us where to: hike, find interesting beaches, dine (even phoning the restaurant) and purchase cod. The place is spotless and roomy and, the breakfast was excellent. Our evening chat with Marilyn and Graham was very welcoming, informative and sociable. They went out of their way to help and even provided frozen water bottles to keep our travel lunch fresh. We would have loved to stay longer. Don & Diane

This was a very nice place to stay. Our room was spotless, bed was comfortable, bathroom is large and clean. Breakfast was very good, and the hosts were very nice and helpful. I would recommend this place .

Marilyn and Graham are very nice people, running a very comfortable, welcoming b+b. They were anxious to let us know of the things to see and do in the area, and recommended places for dinner. Unfortunately, our weather did not co-operate, and we did not get a chance for a swim at the two local shallow, sandy beaches - one at Eastport, just across the road from the inn, and the other in nearby Sandy Cove. But Graham made a phone call to a wonderful woman in Salvage, who opened the fishing museum just for us and took us on a private tour. The drive to Salvage is just 7 km from the inn and it is beautiful. Marilyn prepared us 2 delicious breakfasts and there was friendly fun conversation with her and the other guests. We had the smaller of the 3 rooms upstairs, but it was fine. If you want a private view out to the water, choose one of the 2 outside rooms upstairs. Our room was in-between them. But we didn't spend much time in the room, so this wasn't important to us, and the middle room is cheaper, I believe. Thank you, Graham and Marilyn, for your hospitality. And Buddy too! I hope he is enjoying his doggie treats.

Stayed here because we wanted to visit the village of Salvage down the road. Beautiful home with nice hosts. Buddy the dog was overheated while we were there so he was not too active. Big room with lots of sitting areas. Got to met a frequent visitor to this b&b who loves Newfoundland like I have never seen before. No disappointments here. Great breakfast as well. You will not leave hungry.

Eastport is not on the typical tourist trail of Newfoundland (which seems to consist of a variation of Gros Morne, Twillingate, Trinity, Avalon and St John's). We did went to many of the typical tourist destination, but also had three nights in Eastport we picked it because it was near Terra Nova national park, and it sounded unspoiled and a bit sleepy. We weren't disappointed, either in Eastport or the Inn by the Sea.

As many others have written, the Inn by the Sea is a wonderful B & B - great breakfasts, and if you choose Room 1, you get a fabulous, spacious suite (a real treat after the olde worlde charm of small rooms and no sound insulation in Twillingate!) Whirlpool bath, separate living room area with a great window seat with a view out to sea which my wife sat in for hours and occasionally fell asleep in! And comfortable bed too. Marilyn and Graham were great hosts.

Salvage, a few minutes down the coast, is a great spot for walking and photographing. And The Coastal Trail in Terra Nova a great hike. In terms of eating out, recommend 'Chucky's' at the Inn by the Sea in Happy Adventure. The name almost put us off, but it was fabulous waterside dining. And the new 'Seaside' cafe in Sandy Cove is worth an hour of your time - good pizza, amazing brownies, and interesting tales from an owner who's been all over the world.

We loved our stay in Eastport and were very comfortable in Marilyn and Graham's guesthouse. Breakfasting with the other guests was relaxed and friendly and plenty to eat. Great base to explore the area and we drove to Salvage and ate at the new pub - ex Orange Hall. Also took a trip to Burnside and ferry to St Brendan's Island. Gorgeous part of Eastern Newfoundland!

Reasonably priced, beautiful location, near Terra Nova Park, hiking trails in Salvage and sandy beaches of Eastport. Closed in decks for BBQ at the beach. Owners provided food in cottage. This included homemade bread, local jams etc. It is a very peaceful place to get away. The owners were kind and friendly. Thanks Marilyn and Graham
