For those who saw my first review a day or so ago and are wondering why its gone, we stayed with them again before we flew out and I wanted to add that review but can't submit another one for them for 3 months and you can't edit reviews... so it made more sense to remove the first one and put a new one in.
Anyway ;) this is truly a hidden gem of a B&B that should not be missed. Super clean, nice yard, beautifully decorated, the rooms are large and the bathrooms spacious. Sharon is a very friendly hostess & willing to accommodate us in any way. She even got a small table out of her bedroom so we could set up a bridge game in the little alcove downstairs. On our first stay we were offered dinner suggestions to a truck stop on the highway that turned out to be a lovely spot! Breakfast the next day included the neatest egg idea I've ever had - bacon in the bottom of a muffin tin, egg inside, bake for 15 minutes, add cheese and bake another 5 minutes to melt. You end up with a poached egg wrapped in bacon and can make many at a time - I'm going to try this at our next family gathering!! Of course the egg came with fresh homemade jams and all the other goodies.
On our return trip we stayed the night before our flight and again were treated to her warm hospitality and our little bridge table was even waiting for us! Because we had to be at the airport for 5am we said goodbye the night before and she made us bagged breakfasts that were waiting in the fridge. At the airport we found the breakfast was yogurt, peaches in syrup, home-baked blueberry muffin and a can of orange juice with a disposable spoon wrapped in a napkin - we were all set!!
Great place to stay - cant recommend enough!!

Room Tip: Imperial room with two beds had lots of space - great choice for family

By far the best accommodations in Deer Lake we've stayed at, while on a two week tour of Newfoundland. We booked a second night (Aug 8th) on our return drive home. Wished all B & B 's have this high level of standard as a requirement..clean, comfortable, modern, uncluttered, hot breakfast and more.
Highly recommend if need a place in this area and should reserve way in advance.

Room Tip: Any room would be great, depends on what you need. Choices of an elegant suite to a simple room with...

As other reviewers have eloquently said, the Humberview is what a bed & breakfast should be: spotless, with rooms large enough to move about comfortably in, quiet, modern. No doilies, antimacassars, stuffed animals, dolls, teacups, to stifle one's every movement, and no death-by-Laura-Ashley decor. The second floor sitting room offers guests an additional pleasant spot to relax in, and the soundproofing is so effective that one isn't aware of anyone else padding around.

This is an excellent place to set off from, whether it's to Gros Morne or home.

Room Tip: One room is better than the next! One is spoiled for choice.

We enjoyed the stay and the breakfast. The best part was the fresh, hot bran blueberry muffins!! Cold isn't as good but they are still great. The rooms were surprisingly quiet. The location is residential which was a surprise but we weren't there to sight see so that was not an issue.

Room Tip: We met people in Twillingate who stayed here as well and they liked the basement accommodations. We...
