“Find this for sure”

This new spot is a must on your tour of Trinity area. Call for a reservation though - it is busy. The garden fresh veggies are picked just outside the door. The homemade pasta delicious and the pizzas...well... get a send to go!

“Worth the wait!”
Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

We were told about this place and kept putting off lunch until we got there and we were so glad did. We were happy to see the garden where our greens came from and the pizza was delicious, not to mention the great view. Glad we found it and hope they do well.

“Best overall food experience during 25 days in Newfoundland!”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

We heard about this gem the day before we were leaving this area. Rather than leave and miss the opportunity, we drove over to Upper Amherst Cove early evening after a busy day and are we glad we did! The food we selected was delicious and very healthy - Fish Stew was packed full of fish and vegetables and was seasoned to perfection, the homemade bread and butter was plentiful and was a treat in itself, the pizza they created for us based on the ingredients we requested was so tasty my mouth is watering just thinking about it! And the Partridgeberry bread pudding desert we chose didn't disappoint. In addition to being yummy the plate was decorated with a fresh flower and mint leaf and freshly whipped cream. In addition to the food offered, the atmoshere felt so comfortable. We visited with some other customers although it wasn't required or expected. This restaurant is run by a delightful young couple and we wish them all the best. Don't miss this opportunity! Oh and the prices were very reasonable. What's not to love!

“Go at sunset”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

Go out of your way to wind down the day watching the sun set here. We had a divine salad of fresh greens, roasted cauliflower & bacon soup, and a tasty pizza. And the best blueberry creme brûlée ever. We hope to go back for the fish stew that had just sold out minutes before we arrived. They don't have a liquor licence yet, but don't let that put you off. (Not sure what the provinical laws on corkage fees are, but there may be some provision possible.)
Lovely wooden bowls and plates, too. Apparently they used to sell these (made by the father of one of our servers, and he'd also done all the other stunning woodwork in the place), but couldn't keep up with demand. I can see why.

“BEST. BREAD. EVER.”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

Unfortunately we were on our way out of Bonavista when we heard about this place, too late to get lunch there, but it is a beautiful spot, way out of the way, looking over the water. Real wood-fired pizza oven, smells heavenly in there, with fresh bread, baguettes, pizza, etc. They have their own garden for fresh ingredients, a nice porch to sit on, and goats on the front lawn!
We bought and promptly finished a whole loaf of raisin bread on the drive to St. John's, considered driving back to buy another!
