Stayed at the lancaster inn in sept 2013 .First time to stay in a b&b.What a beautiful place.Tried to get it for another night but it was booked up.Will defintely stay there if i go that way again. What a delicious breakfast. So comfortable clean and beautiful furniture and bedding.Decorated so nice.We thought it was only opened this summer ,could,nt belive it was open three years, everything was so clean and new looking.Harriett was such a friendly person and she certainly knows how to make a delicious breakfast. We would recommed it to anyone.

We stayed at the Lancaster Inn for one night in August. The house (and room) were impeccably clean, bed was super comfortable, and breakfast was delicious - much more than the standard cereal/toast selection that's usually available. True, the lot isn't "overlooking the water" or anything, but you're literally thirty seconds from the water, so who cares? I'd highly reccomend it.

Decided last minute to go away for Labour Day weekend. I never stayed in a B&B before. So I Googled B&B's in Bonavista and this one caught my eye. Very clean, rooms are beautifully decorated. We had the Jacuzzi room, beautiful. Breakfast was amazing, bring your appetite, Harriet won't let you leave hungry. Delicious blueberry pancakes, and homemade bread and jam. We stayed for 2 nights, so you get a free picnic basket. We travelled to nearby towns for the day and it sure came in handy. Great touch. Will definitely be coming back...

Room Tip: Jacuzzi room amazing!!!

The other reviews were right on—this B&B is not in a picturesque location, but the inside was extremely clean, new and modern, and my husband was thrilled with the air conditioner and comfy bed. We called ahead to let them know we would be late and did check in without a person to welcome us, but in the morning Harriet the proprietor was there and cooked a wonderful breakfast and chatted with us about the area. We enjoyed staying here and thought it was a perfect place to stay for a stop over in the Bonavista area.

My husband and I stayed at the Lancaster Inn for 1 night in July 2013. I have to say that it was a completely bizarre experience. We arrived around 5pm and found our room key on a desk in the front hall, with a note indicating where to find our room. That was it. There was nobody around, no one to show us inside or to answer any questions. The room was nice - clean, modern, comfortable - although the location is quite ugly with an empty lot next door and a busy road with a gas station in the front. It is not on the water and is not in any way attractively situated. We did not see any staff for the remainder of the night, and didn't even know if someone lived in the home or if the living space on the main floor was a common area. Weird. At breakfast there was a woman cooking and serving, but she did not speak to us or introduce herself so we were not sure if she was the owner or an employee. We left after breakfast without ever having anyone from the B&B talk to us. It was truly a bizarre experience and I would not stay there again. To that end, I would also not visit Bonavista again, as it was by far the least enjoyable town we stopped in on our trip across Newfoundland.

My mom and I just recently stayed at this amazing B&B. The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. It was not close to the ocean, but was one of the nicest B&B's I have stayed in. Bonivista is an amazing location to see whales and puffins. It also has a lot of history in the town. Would recommend this to anyone.

The Lancaster Inn is a beautiful 3-4 yr old home. The rooms are clean and beautiful, comfy beds, delicious breakfast and great host. The only issue for us was the location. It's located in the not so quaint part of the town of Bonavista.
