“Fall delight”

I was born and raised in St. Stephen so know the environs on both sides of the Canada-US border quite well. As a young teenager, my friends and I spent our summers (when we were too young to have summer jobs) enjoying swimming and sunning at the "Causeway", about 5 miles outside of town on the road to St. Andrews. Just before the Causeway, if you turn left, the road runs along the St. Croix River and those that are particularly fortunate, have homes and summer cottages along the water's edge. Casa Breeze is one of those fortunate homes. Designed by the owners and newly built a few years ago, the house is large and rambling, with big ceilings and large windows looking down to the water. There are local handicrafts and antiques in every corner and on every wall. We had a guest bedroom upstairs with a four-poster bed that was so high there were steps on both sides to climb into bed (and we needed the steps). The bathroom was lovely and fully equipped, even with a towel warmer. My husband and I arrived the day before Canadian Thanksgiving and the owners Susan and Stan promptly invited us to join them and a few friends and guests for a delicious Thanksgiving dinner (turkey, all the trimmings and three homemade desserts!). The next morning, I walked down to the riverbanks to watch the mist rising over the water and enjoy the fall colors. I will attach some photos. Both mornings, we had a delicious homemade breakfast. Highly recommended. Do take the time to walk along the water's edge and just relax.

Incredible B&B - the best we have ever stayed in ! And believe me, we stay in a lot around the USA and Europe ! Your experience starts with a huge welcome from the hosts Susan and Stan. The whole place is very tastefully decorated. The bedrooms are very spacious and a delight to stay in. Our bathroom even had a heated floor. I know this can't happen to everyone, but it is well worth mentioning - it was Thanksgiving day on our stay, and we were invited to dinner along with Susan's family. And what a superb meal it was too. The setting is excellent, overlooking water. Easy to find, and great directions from our hosts were sent to us via Email. I had to complain to our hosts on departure - my complaint was that they should have MADE us stay longer ! We felt very much at ease with the hosts - the atmosphere was so relaxing. Catering for me with my food allergy was NO problem to our hosts. Breakfast was a delight. One word sums up this B&B for us - AMAZING ! 10 out of 10. Why stay in a hotel? This B&B is a must for anyone travelling in or around this area. Susan and Stan, BRILLIANT , and THANK YOU!

Room Tip: We had the downstairs bedroom, next to the kitchen. We didn't hear our hosts making breakfast. I...

Traveling with a friend to PEI from Boston, we had not made reservations for anywhere to stay for the first night of our trip. We considered ourselves extremely fortunate to get a last-minute referral to the Casa Breeze Inn from another B&B we called and which had no more rooms. Susan and Stan were warm and welcoming from our first phone call to them, until we had to tear ourselves away the next morning. We had a lovely large downstairs bedroom with two twin beds and our own spacious bathroom. Since we arrived after dark in their very quiet neighborhood outside of town, we had no idea until the next morning how lovely the view was outside our windows. When we emerged from the bedroom to the light and inviting kitchen and dining area, we discovered that out the back door was a beautiful patio with an expanse of lawn leading down to the bay. It was a cool morning, but after our delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, homemade cereal, yogurt, toast, juice, coffee, and eggs benedict, the day had warmed enough to make a few minutes sitting on the patio essential before packing up and moving on. This would truly be a delightful place to stay for more than one night; we were sorry our travel plans precluded this option for us.

Room Tip: The large downstairs bedroom with two twin beds is just off the kitchen, but the hosts were very qui...

Our room overlooked the bay and it was so comfy and lovely.....The Breakfast meal was lovely as well. Stayed here over Labor Day weekend. Stan and Susan were the most welcoming, charming hosts. They even let us crash a birthday party and meet some of their friends! While that cannot happen to every visitor, you will still be assured of spacious, high quality accommodation in a beautiful setting. The bed was really comfortable, we had a spacious well equipped bathroom and then a large "Gathering Room" where we could relax and read - if we did not want to sit on the outside patio to enjoy the view of the water. Susan's breakfast was absolutely the tops - with a cooked dish and a very fresh fruit salad. This place is certainly worth a visit. My husband and I have stayed in B&Bs in Europe and North America and this one is at the top of the list for both quality and value for money.

Room Tip: No bad room here!

This bed and breakfast is one of the best we've ever stayed in. The rooms and views were just stunning, and the owners provided kayaks to use in the bay if you want. Breakfast was exceptional with more than we could eat and we had a wonderful tea one night before bed as well. Susan and Stan made sure that we had everything we needed and felt at home.

A stay here is like staying with relatives that you like. Our room and bathroom were outstanding, but it was the easy conversation with Susan and Stan that made us feel "at home." Breakfast was wholly unexpected - starting with fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese, granola cereal, coffee, juice, and then a hot dish of "spiced pear french toast." Delicious. All the while we were sitting at the window overlooking an extensive back yard leading down to the lake. It was a bit too cool to sit on the veranda when we got up. The other guests rising later had it just right.

Stan and Susan know the area, and described not only St Stephen, but the nearby fascinating town of St Andrew. We heartily recommend this bed & breakfast.

Room Tip: We only saw our room, but there is no source of noise to disturb you anywhere in the place. The one...
