We were just entering New Brunswick for our first time ever and stopped at an information station on Highway 1. This was the most informative stop we've ever made, and the two agents there were the best! We hadn't eaten since we left southern Maine, so we asked for a good seafood restaurant and without hesitation, they both said, "The Caves", and immediately pointed it out on the map. We found The Caves easily and placed our order for the 'best clam chowder' and other items. WOW! This certainly is the best clam chowder, loaded with lobster and flavor. We also ordered clams for her and a lobster roll for me. Excellent! We would go back here in a second if we're ever in the area. Also, the staff was extremely polite and personable and very helpful and patient as we tried to decide what to get. Don't miss this stop if you're hungry for seafood! Top notch!

You order at the counter, pick out your own table at a window over looking the sea caves and within a very short period of time my seafood chowder arrives hot and delicious. It is better than I enjoyed at the best restaurant in bar Harbor, Maine. The the two lobster rolls my wife and I ordered with crisp, hot fries. No alcohol here, but with great food, super fast service and wonderful view you can go without a glass of wine. Top notch

So far the best seafood chowder I've had in New Brunswick. It's loaded with seafood but not too much of fillers (potatoes...celery...etc)

Must try when you are there!

En route to Fundy Trail we stopped for a light lunch here. Bowl of chowder and a biscuit. Chowder had a variety of seafood and def lobster in there! It was sunny and quiet and we lingered over coffee to watch the tide go out. Bruce the owner seemed quite jovial, the toilets were clean, and the view from the deck stunning. I am sure it's mad when the Cruise boats come on their tours but don't stop of that bothers you. Come when it's quieter in early June!

If you're visiting the caves then you should stop and eat here. The prices were awesome and you got a large amount of food. Had the crispy chicken wrap platter (which meant it comes with your choice of fries, onion rings, salad) and had the onion rings - very delicious!
