Owner description: The ultimate Bay of Fundy eco-adventure. Drive the paved parkway that hugs the coastal cliffs. Lace up your hiking boots and hop on your mountain bike and explore the trails. These connect to paths and stairways which lead to pristine beaches and tumbling waterfalls, Precambrian rocks, 250m cliffs that tower at the water's edge. If that doesn't take your breath away, just check out the view - the spectacular, stunning Bay of Fundy. The trail has been carved out of the Fundy Escarpment, one of the last remaining coastal wilderness areas between Florida and Labrador. Most of the elements of the Fundy ecosystem exist within this area including the dramatic Fundy tides. At the Interpretive Centre you'll find original artifacts and old photos from a bygone era, when logging, fishing and shipbuilding were an economic mainstay of this region. Guided tours to Hearst Lodge and Great Day Experiences for the family or groups are available. The Interpretive Centre also provides a snack bar, restroom facilities and a small retail outlet. Above the Centre, there is a suspension bridge across the sparkling waters of the Big Salmon River and the beginning of the wilderness Fundy Footpath.

“Beautiful park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

The Fundy Trail is a wonderful multi-use park. You can drive, walk, or bike through outstanding natural beauty. It offers a unique view of this spectacular region and is not redundant with other Fundy parks Each of the overlooks has something different to offer and most have provisions for picnics. The visitors center is good. The staff can provide additional maps and information about the region. The movie at the center talks about the creation of the park (still ongoing) and the history of the region. I wish they had also talked about the tidal changes and their curses. Overall, this was a very positive experience and well worth the visit.

“Rain, fog, shine - MUST DO.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2013

I almost skipped this attraction because I woke up to a rain storm and lots of fog. I went anyways and so glad I did. The fog made for some really cool pictures. Absolutely stunning and loved that there were so many different stops along the trail to stop and take pictures, lots of restrooms, lots of hiking trails. Be sure to stop and do the suspension bridge.

“What a beautiful location....!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

This is a 'must do' trip if you are in the area of St John. Incredibly scenic and with well thought out viewing areas, one should take a picnic lunch and really enjoy yourselves. There is an information centre with staff who are more than helpful in realtion to the history that abounds the place. Well paved roads, toilet facilities and easy parking make this trip a dream. If you do not want to have a picnic, lunch instead in St martins where there food is excellent and at a reasonable cost. Speaking of which, there is a charge to go into the parkway but it is more than reasonable at around $6 a person. Small price to pay for supporting the area and getting the scenic return.

“Very Scenic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2013

Instead of traveling 2 hours to the Hopewell Rocks, we decided to drive the Fundy Trail and found it fascinating. Great views of the Bay with their high cliffs and the unique caves.
